KCET Application Form Date 2020

Kerala Examinations Authority (KEA) will release the KCET application form 2020 in first week of February. Application form will be released in online mode only and will be available until March last week. Candidates must regularly check KCET important dates 2020 to know when the application form will be released. Students seeking admission through KCET are advised to first check the eligibility criteria of KCET 2020 and ensure they fulfill all conditions for admission. Students who do not possess the minimum eligibility conditions will not be considered for admission.

KCET Admit Card Date 2020

The admit card of KCET 2020 will be released in April by KEA. KCET admit card 2020 will be released in online mode only in the official portal of KEA. Candidates must regularly stay updated with the KCET 2020 important dates to know the exact date for release of admit card. Students have to download their admit card and take a print of it. Students who will be appearing for the KCET 2020 exam must note that they have to carry admit card to exam centre on the day of examination failing which they will not be allowed to appear for the exam.

KCET Examination Date 2020

The exam conducting body, KEA will conduct the KCET 2020 exam in April. Students can check the exact schedule from the important dates of KCET 2020 to know the dates of examination. KCET 2020 will be conducted in online mode as Computer Based Test (CBT) having multiple choice questions. The exam will be conducted in the morning and evening shifts on various dates. Students have to appear for the exam as per the dates mentioned in their admit card.

KCET Result Date 2020

Kerala Examinations Authority will release the result of KCET 2020 in May. KCET result 2020 will be released in online mode in the official portal of KEA. Candidates must keep update on KCET important dates 2020 to know when the result will be announced. Students have to check their result by login to their candidate portal using application number and password. The result will mention candidates score in each subject for which appeared along with the total marks in exam and the rank.

KCET Counselling Date 2020

Students who will be declared qualified on the basis of KCET result will be eligible for counselling. KEA will conduct the KCET counselling 2020 from June first week. Students are advised to keep an eye on important dates of KCET 2020 related to counselling process so as not to miss any date. The eligibility criteria for admission in B.Tech or B.E is that the candidates should have completed their higher secondary /PUC with at least 45% marks for general and 40% for SC and ST categories and must have subjects such as physics, mathematics, chemistry, and Biology.
Candidates waiting for their results of the qualifying exam in 2019 are also eligible to apply.

Academic Qualification -
Candidate should have successfully passed the qualifying examination(10+2 or equivalent)
Candidate should have passed the qualifying examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of the following as the additional subject Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Electronics/Computer. Should have also studied English.
Candidates waiting for their results of the qualifying exam in 2019 are also eligible to apply.
Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) candidates are not eligible to apply


Marks required :
The candidates should have secured atleast 45% aggregate marks in the three subjects in 12th standard examination. For B.Arch candidate need to have 50% marks in aggregate along with 50% marks in Physics and Chemistry.
However, candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC need to score atleast 40% aggregate marks for B.Tech and 45% for B.Arch.

Domicile-
To fulfil the eligibility criteria of KCET 2019, the candidate should have studied and passed from a recognised institution situated in Karnataka. The academic study from a state institute should be for a minimum period of 7 years, starting from 1st standard to 2nd PUC/12th standard as on July 1 of the exam year.
Candidates should have appeared/passed either SSLC/10th standard or 2nd PUC/12th standard exam from Karnataka.
Candidate who had taken more than one year to pass a class/standard, in such cases, the academic study years will be counted as one year only.

KCET Eligibility Criteria 2019 - Ward of Defence Personnel

Candidates who are wards of defence personnel employed in Karnataka for a minimum period of 1 year during the two year period of study of the candidates in 10+2 must have cleared the qualifying exam from a recognised educational institution located in Karnataka.
Any candidates who is a daughter or son of serving defence personnel from Karnataka i.e those whose parents at the time of joining the Defence services had declared that their home town was in Karnataka will be eligible under this category. However, such candidates are required to produce proof of such domicile.
Candidates who are children of defence personnel who had served in Karnataka for at least one year and are presently on duty in Field/Active Service and the family is allowed by the Defence Authorities to stay in Karnataka. Candidates falling under this category must have studied and passed the qualifying exam from any recognised educational institute located in Karnataka.
The ward of serving or retired employee in Central Armed Police Force Service, whose parents at the time of joining the CAPF Service (Central Armed Police Force) had mentioned that his/her home town was in Karnataka, has to submit proof of his/her domicile from the Record Office of the CAPF Unit where the Parents service record is maintained. In this category, the candidates must have cleared the qualifying examination from a recognised University or Board or any other institution located anywhere in India.
