GATE 2025 Counselling: IISc Bengaluru has activated the link for COAP 2025 registration on March 27, 2025. The GATE 2025 counselling schedule has been released as well. Candidates can apply for the GATE COAP 2025 at gate.iisc.ac.in/coap2025. The GATE 2025 result was declared on March 19, 2025. Candidates who have qualified the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering can participate in the counselling of GATE 2025. There are two modes of GATE counselling, COAP and CCMT. Candidates must register on the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) for admission to IITs, while those who seeking admission to NITs and IIITs need to participate in CCMT counselling.

IISc Bangalore has released the COAP 2025 application forms for M.Tech admissions on the official website. Candidates looking for “how to apply for IIT after GATE” should note that they must apply at the respective institutes as well. However, the candidates will also have to register at GATE COAP 2025 for counselling. Candidates can access the list of offers from the institutes where they applied through COAP on the portal. This allows the candidates to check their options in one place and make their decision.
Candidates who wish to register for GATE COAP 2025 have to meet the eligibility conditions as per counselling for M.Tech through GATE 2025. Aspirants failing to meet any criterion will be disqualified from the admission process.
Centralized Counseling for M.Tech./ M.Arch./ M.Plan or CCMT is conducted for admission in NITs, IIITs and GFTIs based on GATE scores. Candidates with valid GATE scores have to complete GATE CCMT counselling registration 2025 before the deadline.

For admissions to NITs, IIITs, and GFITs, candidates will have to participate in CCMT counselling 2025. There will be three regular rounds of IIT GATE counselling 2025. The GATE 2025 counselling COAP registration commneced on March 27, 2025.
GATE 2025 counselling will not be any centralized process; it will be conducted through Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) and Centralised Counselling for M.Tech/ M.Des (CCMT).
GATE COAP 2025 will be conducted for admissions to IITs based on GATE scores. Candidates will have to register at the COAP portal. However, IITs will release their application forms which candidates will have to fill and submit before the last date.

Yes, as per the latest GATE eligibility criteria , students who have completed a 3-year BSc (Bachelor of Science) degree can now apply for the GATE exam. But admission options through GATE score for such students are limited.
IITs: Generally do not allow admission to MTech, but some may offer MSc-PhD or research programmes.
IISc: Allows BSc students for Integrated PhD in science subjects.
NITs/IIITs: Mostly need BE/BTech, so limited chances for BSc students.
Best options: Integrated PhD, MS by Research, or research roles.
