UPES B.Tech Admissions 2026
ApplyRanked #43 among Engineering colleges in India by NIRF | Highest Package 1.3 CR , 100% Placements
Hello
Yes, aeronautical engineering is offered as a diploma course in many polytechnic colleges in Maharashtra.
Admissions usually happen through the DTE Maharashtra process, where seats are given based on 10th class marks, not an entrance exam. If your diploma is from a recognised institute, it is fully accepted.
Later, you can also use this diploma to enter
B. Tech
directly in the second year through lateral entry.
Overall, it’s a smooth path if you want to build a career in aviation or engineering.
Hello,
Yes, at 31 years old and an engineering graduate, you are still eligible for many government exams, particularly those for state and central services that offer age relaxation for reserved categories. The key is to research the specific age limits for your category and the exams you are interested in.
I hope it will clear your query!!
HELLO,
Yes you can pursue a M.Tech in aerospace engineering after completing a B.Tech or B.E. in Aeronautical Engineering
You will likely need to appear for the GATE exam and meet the specific eligibility criteria of the institute where you want to apply, most institutes require a minimum of 50 percent in your undergraduate B.E./B.Tech degree along with a satisfactory performance in the GATE exam
Hope this Helps!
IISc Bangalore does not offer a B.Tech or undergraduate program in Aeronautical Engineering through JEE Main. IISc offers a B.Sc (Research) program for undergraduate students, and admission to this is possible through JEE Advanced, not JEE Main.
For M.Tech in Aerospace Engineering at IISc, admission is through GATE, not JEE.
If you are interested in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering at the undergraduate level, you should target IITs like IIT Bombay, Kanpur, Kharagpur, or Madras. These branches usually require a rank within 1500 to 3000 in JEE Advanced for general category students. JEE Main is only used as a qualifier for JEE Advanced in this path.
Hello Aspirant,
