The Union Ministry of Human Resource (HRD Ministry) has decided that Class XII marks will not be a factor for determining rankings in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for admissions to engineering undergraduate courses from next year. There will be no change in syllabus and exam pattern of the exam.

There is no changes in JEE Main eligibility criteria, Only change is that JEE main rank will be prepared by considering only JEE Main score, 12th Marks won't be considered this year.

As said BITS equals IIT. So how are they similar or different to each other?

The basic difference is ; BITS is private college and IIT is govt college and only some top IITs are equivalent to BITS in placement and infrastructure, rest will come down from BITS.

@Ramesh: The rules have changed from 2014 to 2015 that is students opting for JEE exam can improve their CBSE result by applying for CBSE Improvement Exam ONLY IF the student has applied for all the five subjects. Good luck!
