GATE is a PG level exam and others are UG level exam.
All the exams are tough in their own way. If we choose the toughest exam in all then it is JEE Advanced. It also depends on your interest and passion. If you want to crack JEE Advanced exam
There will be as such no hurdles for the students.
It is recommended to the students to solve as many as online mock test series for practice. So, that they get familiar with the exam enviornment and they did not face any problem at the time of D day.

Yes, it is a wise decision to appear in improvement exam as 75% would be required or you should be there in top 20 percentile to get seat in NITs/IIITs/GFTIs etc. So plan and prepare accordingly.
