You can appear for JEE Main exam after class 12th and when you qualify the JEE Main exam then only you are eligible for giving JEE Advanced.

As per 2018 cutoff,you are eligible for Advance.To get Govt college chance is quite difficult.
Dear Student,
In order to be eligible for JEE Advanced you have to appear for JEE Main paper 1.
According, to previous year cut off you should have 49 marks in JEE Main paper 1 in OBC category to be eligible for JEE Advanced.

If you want to take admission in NITs/IIITs and GFTIs you have to appear for JEE Main paper 1 exam for B.Tech course.
For IITs you have to appear in JEE Advanced exam. To be eligible for JEE Advanced you have to qualify JEE Main exam first.

It totally depends on your preparation. If you know how to revise for your exam in 45 days there is no use to take the coaching but if you are totally confuse and don't have any idea you can go for the coaching institute.
