Being a KVPY scholar, I would definitely suggest you to drop one year and study sincerely. But if you think that you will not be able to concentrate for one yr then do not attempt to drop, just join  BIT Mesra and improve yourselves there...

As you've mentioned you are getting 80 marks, it is sure that you will qualify for jee advance if you fall in SC/ST/OBC category but it is little bit difficult

If you are general or obc you can got 75% or you are SC/St .category then you can 65%

Hello Mahima,

There are two main criteria for JEE Advance-

1. You must qualify in JEE Mains .

2. Your Marks in class 12th must be in top 20% in that board examination.

If you fulfill these criteria then you will be able to attempt JEE Advance.

Basically, the procedure to pursue architecture is to:

  • First clear JEE Mains paper 2;
  • Then qualify JEE Advanced;
  • And then register for the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT)

He/she is within the category-wise top 20 percentile of successful candidates in his/her respective Class XII (or equivalent) Board examination.
