Yes, you can generally withdraw from an engineering school after your first year. However, you should review T Johns College of Technology's specific policy regarding withdrawal or transfer. It is also advisable to discuss your decision with a university advisor or the administration to understand the implications and formal processes that you must follow.
Hello,
Yes. For instance, you can leave your engineering college after joining through KCET and join another college, under the above proviso. You need to note a few conditions for that. If you change colleges within the same year, then it has to be during the initial admission period of the college or before classes are fully underway, as specified by the refund policy of the colleges and KCET.
If you want to move to another college in the second year, then some universities and colleges permit lateral entry, but this may also depend on the approval of both the current and the new institution and can make for some paperwork like migration certificates and no-objection letters. And regarding Karnataka Examination Authority KEA's directive on seat cancellation and fee refund.
Specific rules have to be checked in the present college and the one you want to transfer into before you make the decision.
Hello! Thank you for reaching out to Careers360. It's great to hear about your admission to the B.Tech program in Information Technology through KCET .
Regarding your query about changing your stream to Computer Science Engineering (CSE) in the second year, it typically depends on your college's policies. Many institutions allow students to switch branches after the first year, but specific criteria must be met, such as maintaining a certain academic performance. I recommend discussing this with your college's academic advisor or administration for detailed guidance and procedures related to stream changes.
If you're considering your options in CSE, there are numerous reputed colleges and courses available that focus on this discipline. If you have further questions or need assistance, feel free to ask!
