VIT Engineering Entrance Exam
Dear aspirant,
VIT does not release official cutoffs as such and thus this answer is based off of previous year rank statistics. It is slightly difficult for you to get CSE in VIT Vellore/ Chennai even in the third category but you have really good chance of getting CSE in VIT Bhopal. It is expected that the number of students intake will increase this year but still Vellore/Chennai is a remote possibility.
Hope this helps
hello aspirant,
looking at the previous year VITEEE cutoff, in order to get CSE branch in VIT Vellore im category 1, you have to score a rank of around 9000 in VITEEE to get CSE. Similarly, to get CSE branch in VIT Chennai campus in category 1, you have to score a rank of around 12K in VITEEE exam. So, you cannot get CSE branch with around 33K rank in VITEEE in Category 1. However, you can pay more fees to get CSE branch at lower category. Like you can get CSE branch in category 5 by paying more higher fees for CSE.
Further, the above prediction is based on the previous year VITEEE Cutoff data and analysis. This year the actual cutoff and score may vary as the VITEEE Cutoff keeps varying every year
Further, to know more about the VITEEE Cutoff for previous years, You can follow the below mentioned link to know more : https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/viteee-cutoff
I hope that this will help.
You are eligible for the category 1 counselling. VIT never releases the previous year cut-offs so, it slightly hard to make accurate predictions. Looking at the previous year stats, I'll make a few small recommendations.
You have a sure shot chance of getting ECE, Mechanical, Biotechnology in VIT Vellore campus. So, depending on what you what give the course as first option. If you don't have any preference give CSE, ECE as first choices and make sure you include the above mentioned courses as well so that your chances of getting a seat in category 1 / category 2 is high.
Hope this helps.
Hey aspirant
Congratulations for securing high mark in both exams. JEE is always better compared to vitee. As you know admission to top engineering colleges in India like IITs, NITs are via JEE. For 97.5 percentile you could get admission but not for all branches. If you want admission for cse, ece and all its better to take vitee . For 5k rank in vitee you could get admission in any branch. IIT and NIT are better in placement, facilities, salary and more. So comparing both JEE is best. Also considerYour interest in branches .
Hello Aspirant,
As per the analysis of previous years cut-off data for VITEEE, you have very less or almost no chances of getting CSE in Chennai campus, but you have good chances in following campuses with mentioned branches :-
Vellore - Civil Engineering
Chennai - Mechanical Engineering and Fashion Technology
Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's cut-off and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.
You can check out the link given below for more details :-

I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!!
hello Siddhi,
I hope you are doing well.
VIT is one of the best private college. they have good number of placements and company visiting. VIT conduct their own entrance exam for admission and it has similar level of JEE mains. it contains PCM and aptitude english of total 125 questions of 125 marks. it is a multiple choice question pattern.
predicting the seats with rank is quite unpredictable but by comparing last years performance we can get an idea about this year as well. closing rank of cse in vit vellore can be 8000 and for it could be 9000 something. but possibilities are always there as you may get cse in chennai with rank of 15k-20k. you may get any other branch in vellore with this rank.
ALL THE BEST.
Hello,
As far as your rank is concerned let me tell in the main campus vit vellore it is very difficult to get non core branches in category 1 or category like cse and it's specialisation, electrical and communication engineering, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics engineering .
So, as per my view you have more chances to get EEE branch in category 2 or mechanical , chemical , or civil branches.
The filling of seats also depends on the number of candidates who are ahead of you , number of vacant seats in college.
VIT Only considers the first 20 k rank holders for the councelling in category 1. Hence, it is not possible for you to get in via category 1. Even taking other categories into consideration, it is slightly hard for you to get in because usually the admission ends at 35k so CSE is slightly hard. All this is based on last year stats. You can try getting in via management quota.
Hi aspirant,
20169 is a fairly decent rank and you definitely have chances to get admission in electronics and communication engineering at the Vellore campus of Vellore Institute of Technology. Considering your rank and the previous trends, you would most probably get the seat in category 3 or 4 as there is good demand of ECE in VIT after CSE and IT. Just make sure to fill the choices wisely during the counselling session and place the lower categories first and in increasing order.
The Other branches that you can get easily are electrical and electronics engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering and civil engineering.
Hope it helps!!
As per the rank you provided it is quite difficult to get any of the seat in Vellore Institute Of Technology. Given below are the closing ranks of different branches of VIT :
As per the above data you have to under 20,000 rank to get seat in Vellore Institute Of Technology.
So prepare well for the next time or you can try to other colleges.
Thank You!
