HPCET Merit List 2025 - Tie-Breaking Method

The HPCET 2025 merit list will be based on marks secured by the candidates in the qualifying exam. In case, two or more candidates score the same marks then the authorities use the following procedure to break a tie.

  • Candidates with higher marks in Physics will be placed higher.

  • If a tie persists then the marks of Chemistry will be considered.

  • If a tie still persists then the marks of class 12th will be considered.

  • If a tie is still not resolved then a candidate who will be older will be given preference.

HPCET Counselling 2025
