HPCET Counselling 2026 - The HPTU will release the HPCET counselling 2026 dates for B.Tech. Candidates can find the HPCET counselling registration link on the official website, himtu.ac.in. The HPCET counselling 2026 will be conducted in offline mode. Candidates can find the HPCET 2026 counselling schedule in this article. Admission to 50% of the seats will be based on the JEE Main and the remaining 50% will be based on the HP common entrance test and 10+2 scores if seats remain vacant. The authority will conduct the HPCET counselling in two rounds for admission. Candidates re aslo advised to complete the counselling registration and start HPCET choice filling. Students who will qualify the HPCET 2026 and have a valid score will be eligible for HPCET counselling process. Below are the step-by-step procedure for the HPCET counselling below.

HPCET 2026 Counselling Procedure

  • Registration - Firstly, candidates will have to complete the HPCET counselling 2026 registration process by submitting details like name, user ID, password date of birth, email id and mobile number in the required fields. Upon successful registration, candidates will receive a unique registration number.
  • Payment of fee - After registration, candidates seeking admission through JEE Main score will have to make a payment of the HPCET 2026 counselling fee. It should be noted that candidates seeking admission through HPCET 2026 will not be required to pay the counselling fee.

What are the documents required at the time of HPCET counselling 2026?

Candidates will be required to prepare the following documents at the time of the HPCET 2026 counselling.

  • Passing certificate of qualifying examination
  • Marks-sheet issued by the Board/University
  • JEE Main 2026 result
  • Matriculation/Higher Secondary Part-I/Indian School Certificates (containing date of birth)
  • Character Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended
  • Bonafide/Domicile Certificate issued by Sub-Divisional Magistrate/Executive Magistrate (if applicable)
  • Bonafide/domicile Certificate issued by the concerned Sub-Divisional Magistrate Executive Magistrate (candidates of Himachal Pradesh)
  • Reserved Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • Physically Challenged Certificate (if applicable)
  • Income Certificate (if applied under Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme)
  • An affidavit attested by the Executive Magistrate (if applied under the Beti Hai Anmol Scheme)
  • Domicile Certificate by Kashmiri Migrants
  • Medical Fitness Certificate for Yoga Students

HPCET 2026 Counselling - Highlights

  • Candidates must complete the online registration for HPCET counselling within the specified dates.
  • Candidates who will be listed in the HPCET 2026 merit list will be eligible to participate in all the rounds of counselling.
  • 50% of the total seats will be filled by JEE Main candidates and the rest 50% for HPCET applicants. If seats are still left vacant, the remaining seats will be offered based on 10+2 marks.
  • Shortlisted candidates must be present in person at the time of the counselling of HPCET 2026. Candidates failing to reach the venue as per the scheduled time will forfeit their claim.
  • Candidates should make sure they carry all the relevant documents to the HPCET 2026 counselling venue.
