The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi NCR, Ghaziabad organised a five-day faculty development programme on “Design & Development of Biomedical Antennas”. The event was held from July 22 to 26, 2024 and brought over 322 participants together from across India. The FDP was sponsored by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The FDP marked a significant milestone in academia and research with the involvement of 322 participants from pan India. The event showcased a truly pan-Indian confluence of expertise and knowledge with a robust representation from Uttar Pradesh (167), Tamil Nadu (63), Andhra Pradesh (29), Telangana (16), Maharashtra (10), Madhya Pradesh (9), Karnataka (8), Kerala (4), Rajasthan (3), West Bengal (3), Bihar (2), Punjab (2), Odisha (1), and Tripura (1).

The inaugural ceremony began in the presence of the Chief Guest Prof. (Dr.) S. S. Pattnaik (Vice Chancellor of Odisha State Open University, Sambalpur), Guest of Honor Dr Preeti Bajaj (Director General of KIET Group of Institutions), Dr Manoj Goel (Joint Director), and Dr Anil Ahlawat (Director Academics).

Dr. Vibhav Kumar Sachan (Dean R&D & Dean ECE) commenced the inaugural session with a welcome address. He welcomed the chief guest, guest of honor, patron, keynote speakers, esteemed colleagues, and aspiring attendees from all over India. Dr. Vibhav Kumar Sachan emphasised the institution's 25 years of educational excellence and the FDP's pivotal role in advancing the field of biomedical antennas. She highlighted the significance of the AKTU Sponsored Online One Week Faculty Development Programme on “Design & Development of Biomedical Antennas,” organised by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi NCR, Ghaziabad, India, which took place from July 22 to 26, 2024.
