You have completed your backlog and achieved a CGPA of 6.5. According to the NIMCET 2025 guidelines, candidates must obtain at least 60% marks or a 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale in their qualifying test. Your CGPA is exactly 6.5, thus you meet the requirements.
Furthermore, NIMCET does not support converting CGPA to percentage or vice versa.  As a result, your CGPA of 6.5 qualifies you directly without any conversion.

With a VITEEE rank of 199,320 , admission into the top core branches (like CSE, ECE, etc.) at VIT Vellore or VIT Chennai is unfortunately very unlikely , as those seats typically close within the top 30,000–50,000 ranks , depending on the year and demand.

1. VIT Bhopal or VIT-AP (Amaravati Campus):

   • These newer campuses have lower closing ranks and often accept students with ranks beyond 100,000+ .

   • You may get branches like:

     • Mechanical Engineering (ME)

     • Civil Engineering

     • Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE)

     • Some interdisciplinary programs or specialized branches .

2. Management Quota:

   • If you’re very keen on VIT Vellore or Chennai and are open to paying higher tuition fees , you can consider the Category 3/4 seats , which allow admission at much lower ranks but with a significant fee hike.

3. Other Alternatives:

   • Consider writing other entrance exams (like COMEDK, SRMJEEE, or state-level exams) where you may have better chances of securing a good branch in a reputed institute.
