JEXPO 2020 - West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development has concluded the registration process of JEXPO 2020 on April 15. Previously, the authorities had announced the postponement of JEXPO 2020 due to COVID-19. New dates will be notified soon. JEXPO 2020 is conducted for admission to engineering, technology and architecture courses in various self-financed polytechnics across the state of West Bengal. The authorities had released the application form of JEXPO 2020 on January 2. Candidates were able to apply for JEXPO 2020 in online or offline mode. Candidates had to choose any mode of application as per their convenience.
Follow the given steps to apply for JEXPO 2020 in online mode-
Step 1: Registration - Candidates had to register in the first step by entering email ID, mobile number and creating username and password.
Step 2: Filling of Application Form - After this, candidates were required to login with the user Id and password created during registration and fill all the required details of the form like personal, academic details, etc.
Step 3: Uploading of Documents - Once all the details of the form were submitted, candidates had to upload scanned images of their photograph and signature as specified by the authorities.
Step 4: Payment of fee - After this, candidates had to pay the application fee of JEXPO 2020. For this, candidates were required to take a print out of the challan generated and submit it along with the application fee in cash at any of the polytechnics. The authority of the polytechnic then validated the fee payment.
Step 5: Submission of Application Form - In the last step, candidates had to check the status of the validation of their form and all the details entered by them in the form. After this, they were finally able to submit the application form.

The candidates were able to purchase the offline or OMR based JEXPO 2020 application form along with the information booklet from any of the listed polytechnics by paying application fee in cash.
The application form had to be filled completely and photograph had to be pasted on the specified place.
It has to be ensured that the signatures of both candidate and parent were put on the application form.
The application form had to be submitted before the last date.
Mode of application
Candidates must check the eligibility criteria of JEXPO 2020 before applying for the exam. All the candidates must fulfill JEXPO eligibility criteria 2020 as the final allotment will be based on it. The following table can be referred to understand the eligibility criteria of the exam.
Candidates must not be born after July 1, 2005 to be eligible for the exam.
There is no maximum age limit.
Candidates must have Indian nationality.
Candidates must have passed the secondary examination with minimum 35% marks in aggregate.
Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply for the exam.

Candidates are required to enter their choices of exam centres of JEXPO 2020 while filling out the application form. The districts/zones where the examination will be conducted will be listed out in the exam centres. Selection of districts/zones has to be done as per preference. JEXPO 2020 counselling will be conducted for around 19,000 self-financed seats in various polytechnics. Candidates who will qualify JEXPO 2020 will be called for the counselling process. JEXPO counselling 2020 will have various rounds of online counselling followed by a special round of offline counselling. To participate in the online counselling of JEXPO 2020, candidates will have to register online and lock their choices. Final allotment of seats will be on the basis of merit score, availability of seats and preferences set by candidates.
A special round of offline counselling will be conducted to fill the seats vacant after the online JEXPO 2020 counselling. However, the candidates who have been allotted seats in previous rounds will not be eligible for this. The allotment of seats in the special round will be on the basis of JEXPO merit list 2020.

Jexpo exam admit was supposed to be released on 16 april & exam was to be held on 26 april 2020, but due to coronavirus pandemic outbreak & extended lockdown till 3 may in the country, the date of exam has been postponed. The new date will be notified afterwards by releasing a notification. You can check the news here on the official site. So, no admit will be released at present.
