TANCA Counselling and Seat Allotment 2020 - Anna University will conduct the counselling of Tamil Nadu Common Admission (TANCA) 2020 tentatively in October. Registration for TANCA counselling and seat allotment has started from August 28. Students who will qualify the TANCET or have a valid GATE score will be eligible for TANCA counselling and seat allotment 2020. The process of registration includes filling the application form of TANCA 2020, uploading scanned images of photograph, signature and documents of educational qualifications and fee payment. Anna University will release a merit list of applicants based on the score in TANCET or GATE. Students whose name appears in TANCA merit list will be called for further counselling and seat allotment process. Students have to download their counselling call letter from the portal by login using their registration number and password. TANCA counselling will be conducted in offline mode in Anna University wherein candidates have to report to the venue as per the schedule mentioned in their call letter. TANCA 2020 Counselling Procedure

Students aspiring for M.Tech admission in Tamil Nadu have to appear in the TANCET/ GATE exam. Admission is offered through TANCA counselling and seat allotment. Students who qualify TANCET or GATE exam have to apply for TANCA counselling in online mode for seat allotment procedure. Detailed step by step guide for the counselling is given below

Registration: Students have to register online for participating in the counselling. Registration for TANCA 2020 has started from August 28. Students have to provide their basic details like name, date of birth, parents and educational qualification information. Students will also be be required upload scanned image of photograph and other documents of educational qualification as mentioned below

TANCA Application Fees

List of Documents to be Uploaded in Online Application Form

Candidates have to online upload the following documents while filling the application form. The documents must be in pdf format with size less than 1.5 MB.

• Marksheet and certificate of class 10 and 12

• Qualifying degree certificate and marksheets of all semesters

• Valid GATE/ TANCET score card

• TANCET 2020 Hall Ticket

• Transfer certificate from institute last attended

• Permanent Community Certificate in card format or electronic form / digitally signed e-Certificate in the case of BC, BC Muslim, MBC / DNC & SC / SC (Arunthathiyars) / ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu

• Nativity Certificate only in electronic form / digitally signed e-Certificate (if applicable)

• Certificate of disability (if applicable)

• Copy of identification certificate obtained from the HeadQuarters Tahsildar or Visa, Passport and letter registered in Police Station (For Srilankan Refugee candidates)

After entering all the details in TANCA registration form, uploading documents and paying the application fees, click on submit button to complete the registration process.

Merit List

Students who complete the registration within specified dates will be eligible for participating in TANCA counselling and seat allotment 2020. Anna University will release a merit list of all candidates who have completed the registration of TANCA counselling. The merit list will be released separately for GATE and TANCET category candidates. Students whose name will appear in the merit list will have to download their counselling letter by login and report to the counselling venue as per the specified date and time.

Reporting to Counselling Venue and Choice Filling

Students having their name in the merit list will have to download their counselling call letter by login to candidate portal using their TANCA registration number and password. Details about counselling venue, date and time of reporting will be mentioned on the counselling call letter. Students have to report to the counselling venue as per the details in their counselling letter.

TANCA Seat Allotment 2020

The seat allotment of Tamil Nadu Common Admissions will be done on the basis of merit list prepared through TANCET/GATE score. Seat allotment is done in offline mode through counselling conducted in Anna University by considering the admission policies, choices filled by the candidates and rank of candidates in TANCET/GATE in meritlist.

Reporting to Allotted Institute

Students who will be allotted a seat through TANCA counselling 2020 will have to report to the allotted institute. Candidates have to report to the institute within the specified dates failing which their admission will be cancelled. Students also have to carry all the educational qualifications and other required documents while reporting to the allotted institute. Students have to carry all original documents along with the xerox copies while reporting to the allotted institute.
