    Careers 360: What are the different B.Tech specialisations offered? How does MTC Chrompet assist students with selecting their choice of specialisations?

    Mr. Ravi: B.Tech Specialisations & Guidance MTC Chrompet offers a diverse range of B.E specialisations, including Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Computer Science in AI & ML, Computer Science (Cyber Security), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Information Technology (IT), and B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (AI & DS).

    The curriculum is enriched with electives and modules in cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI & ML), Deep Learning, Cyber Security, Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, Cloud Computing, and Robotics.     Careers 360: What is the admission process for B.Tech admissions at Mahalakshmi Tech Campus?

    Mr. Ravi: B.E. / B.Tech Admission Process at Mahalakshmi Tech Campus

    Mahalakshmi Tech Campus (MTC) offers B.E / B.Tech admissions through Management Quota: A similar procedure will be applied for the government quota students who come through single window allotment.

    Management Quota Students can apply directly under the Management Quota. Admission is granted based on academic eligibility, followed by a structured internal assessment and document verification.

    Competency Assessment & Interview Process

    To ensure a strong foundation and personalised academic development, students who complete the application process, including the payment of a non-refundable application fee of Rs 1000, are required to undergo the following two-step evaluation process:

    1. Online Competency Assessment Test

    Duration: 45 minutes

    Mode: Online (to be taken on a desktop or laptop for optimal experience)

    Purpose: To evaluate the applicant’s current competency level in areas such as analytical reasoning, basic technical knowledge, and communication.

    2. One-on-One Virtual Interview

    Conducted after the online test.

    This personal interaction helps understand the candidate’s aspirations, motivation, and academic preparedness.

    Objective of the Process

    This comprehensive assessment aims to conduct a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) Analysis of each student. The insights gained are used to:

    Personalise their learning journey.

    Provide targeted support in areas requiring development.

    Align their training with career goals—whether in entrepreneurship, top-tier job placements, or higher education opportunities.

    Mr. Ravi: B.E. / B.Tech admissions at MTC Chrompet are primarily based on academic performance, TNEA counselling ranks, and national entrance exam scores. Students with valid JEE scores are given preference and receive first choice during the admission process under the management quota.

    The institution also recognises and supports high-performing students through the Merit-cum-Means Scholarship scheme. In addition, liberal scholarships and financial assistance are extended to meritorious students from financially weaker backgrounds, promoting equal access to quality education.

    How does MTC Chromepet update the curriculum to incorporate the latest industry trends, technological advancements, and societal needs? Please explain.

    Curricula are regularly updated with input from industry experts and through projects under Maha Future Tech Hub, ensuring alignment with emerging technologies and societal needs.

    Mr. Ravi: MTC Chrompet provides holistic career support through structured training in technical skills, soft skills, and interview preparation. The Training and Placement Cell, in collaboration with the Maha Future Tech Hub, also assists students in preparing for higher studies in top national and international universities, offering guidance and coaching for GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, and other competitive exams. Students with entrepreneurial aspirations are encouraged to launch startups through incubation support, while those inclined toward public service are mentored and guided to prepare for UPSC and other civil services examinations. Please give insights on the industrial visits and internships that students participate in.

    Industrial Visits & Internships

    Students actively participate in industrial visits and internships to gain practical exposure. Notable visits include the Air Traffic Management Centre at Chennai International Airport, the IIT Madras Research Park, National Research Laboratories like DRDO and various core manufacturing companies across Tamil Nadu. Additionally, students engage in rural technology deployment projects, offering them unique insights into grassroots innovation and community-based engineering solutions. These experiences, often facilitated through the Maha Future Tech Hub, also include opportunities to contribute to live consultancy and research assignments under industry mentorship.
