 The Placements recorded were excellent for the last year, 2016. About 97% percent students who sat in the campus placements got placed with many of them receiving PPOs.
The highest was about 1.8 crore per annum and the average was around 12.5 lakhs per annum. Many companies participated the campus like Amazon, Goldman sachs Microsoft, TechMahindra, bank of america,Bosch, Cisco, Google, and many others. Also, Public sector industries visiting were BHEL, ONGC, SBI, NPCI. Roles were mostly technical as well as some students received manahgement roles into manufacturing domain.

About 60-70% students got internships as well as PPOs were at 30%.

International salaries were offered by Google and Amazon with 1Cr+ package in dollar terms.

Faculty and alumni support is amazing for placements and bringing top companies to sign MOUs.

To be honest, 80 is an amazing score but it does not guarantee your seat into IITs. For getting into an IIT, you need to score good in JEE mains and advance. Admissions into IITs is only based on that. All the best !

Undoubtedly IIT Guwahati is a better among the three IITs because it is considered to be among the top 7-8 IITs. So, the cut off for cse branch IIT Guwahati is also under 600-700 so you need to score really good to get the cse branch over there.

The infrastructure and view of IIT Guwahati is just amazing you will enjoy the campus life. I can be rest assured of that.

But the other IITs are not so good with computer science branch and are not considered to be among the top ones. IIT Patna is comparatively a newer IIT.

When you have to compare two colleges and have to arrive at a conclusion then you have to choose some of the parameters. This parameters can be a distinct number of events but to conclude this answer I am choosing some of the most important parameters like:

Infrastructurally there are no point to differentiate this two colleges as they both have brilliant infrastructure. Now IIT-ISM is a older institute compared to that of IIT Patna. The curriculum of IIT-ISM is more elegant that IIT Patna. The faculties in both the college are well qualified but from a experience point of view, ISM have more experienced teachers. So comparatively both the institute have there own advantage and disadvantage but from a over all consideration, IIT Patna is better than IIT ISM in terms of placements which can really help you to get a stable career ahead.
