Bharti Vidyapeeth deemed to be University has announced the schedule for lateral entry admissions in B.Tech for the session 2019-20. Diploma holders and Bsc. graduates seeking admission in the second year of B.Tech courses in various streams can apply for the admissions. The admission process will be conducted on the basis of an entrance exam that will be held on June 16, 2019. The application process for the entrance test has already started and students can submit their applications till May 30. Candidates are required to submit their applications through the official website of the institution. Results for BVP B.Tech Lateral Entry 2019 will be announced on June 29. Eligible candidates who have cleared the entrance examination will have to appear for the counselling process on July 10. BVP B.Tech Lateral Entry 2019: Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates seeking admissions in direct second year of various engineering programmes are required to check the eligibility conditions set by the conducting authority. Only those applicants who satisfy the eligibility conditions will be considered for admissions under BVP B.Tech Lateral Entry 2019. Here are the detailed eligibility conditions for students seeking admission in second year of B.Tech courses in Bharti Vidyapeeth Deemed University.



Diploma Holders

Candidate must have passed diploma from an AICTE recognized institution with minimum 45% aggregate score (40% in case of SC/ST reserved candidates)

BSc. Graduates

Candidate must have passed B.Sc. degree from any UGC approved institution with minimum 45% aggregate score (40% in case of SC/ST reserved candidates). Candidate must also have Mathematics as a subject in their class 12.

Candidates who have passed BSc are required to clear the subjects Engineering Graphics / Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year Engineering program along with the second year subjects.

Candidate must note that BSc. graduates will only be allotted seats after filling in the supernumerary seats for diploma students. 

BVP B.Tech Lateral Entry Application Form 2019

The application process for Bharti Vidyapeeth Lateral Entry 2019 has already started and candidates can submit their applications through the official website of the institution. Applicants can fill the application form and pay the examination fee till May 30, 2019. Students are required to fill in all the details correctly as the admission process will be based on the information provided by the candidate at the time of application. All applicants are advised to read the instructions given on the website carefully before filling the application form. Given below is detailed step by step for filling BVP B.Tech Lateral Entry application form 2019:

  • Create Login Credentials: Candidates need to visit the official portal to apply online for admission in second year of different B.Tech programmes. The very first step in the application process is creating login credentials by entering basic information such as name, email id, phone number etc. Candidates are also required to set a secure password.

  • Student and Parent Declaration: After successfully creating the login credentials candidates are required to acknowledge the student declaration and the parent declaration set up by the conducting institution. The application process will only move forward once the applicant agrees with the student and parent declaration.

  • Filling in Required Details: After finishing with the student and parent declaration, students will reach the registration form page. Candidates are required to fill in all the required details correctly such as personal, academic, contact and other important details. Applicants are also required to select their examination centre preference from the available options.

  • Payment of Registration Fee: Once a candidate has filled in all the required information in the registration form they will reach the payment page that is the final step of filling in the BVP B.Tech lateral entry 2019 application form. Students can make the fee payment through Credit Card / Debit Card /Internet Banking. After successfully making the payment, applicants are required to take a printout of the payment receipt.

BVP B.Tech Lateral Entry Admit Card 2019

Admit card is a compulsory document for entry in the exam hall. Candidates can download their admit card just after completing the payment for the application form. Once done with the payment of the application form, students will reach the admit card page that contains all the personal details of the candidates, date and time of examination, name of the exam centre and all the important information. In case the admit card is not available after registration, candidates will be informed about the availability of the admit card through email and notification via SMS.

BVP B.Tech Lateral Entry Exam Pattern 2019

The entrance examination for direct admissions in second year of different B.Tech programmes will be conducted offline through pen and paper test mode. All the candidates appearing for the entrance examination will be provided a test booklet along with an answer sheet. Candidate will have to first fill in all the required information such as Roll number, name of the candidate etc. in the designated boxes given on the test booklet and the answer sheet.

BVP B.Tech Lateral Entry Syllabus 2019

The entrance examination for lateral entry admissions in different B.Tech programmes will comprise the syllabus from the last year of their respective diploma branches. 

BVP B.Tech Lateral Entry 2019: Exam Day Guidelines

  • Candidates are required to appear at the examination centre as stated in the admit card.

  • Candidates are advised to familiarize themselves with the route and location of the exam centre beforehand to avoid any inconvenience on the day of exam.

  • Applicants with a valid admit card will be provided entry in the examination centre.

  • Candidates must reach the examination centre 30 minutes prior to the time given in the admit card.

  • Entry in the examination hall will start 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam.

  • Candidates are advised to take their seat 15 minutes prior to the start of the exam to not miss out on the important instructions provided by the invigilator and staff.

  • Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination centre if they are late by 30 minutes.

  • Candidates need to check the seat number given on the admit card and sit accordingly.

  • No textual, printed, handwritten material will be allowed inside the exam centre. Students must also note that calculators, mobile phones, earphones, log tables and other electronic devices are strictly prohibited inside the exam centre.

  • Candidates are not allowed to leave the examination hall before the duration of the exam gets over.

  • Parents, relatives or friends of the candidates will not be allowed entry in the exam centre premises.

  • Applicants can bring their clipboard with them, however, the clipboard should not have anything written over it.

  • Snacks, beverages and other eatables are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.

  • Discipline and silence are expected from the candidates inside the examination hall. Any nuisance or indiscipline inside the examination centre will be dealt with utmost strictness.

  • Invigilators will check admit card of every candidate for identification purpose.

BVP B.Tech Lateral Entry Results and Merit List 2019

The results for the entrance examination conducted for admissions in second year of B.Tech will be declared on June 29, 2019. The results will be declared through online mode and no separate score cards will be issued to candidates. Applicants who have appeared for the entrance examination can check their results as per the schedule on the official website of the institution. The merit list will be based on the marks secured by the candidate in the entrance examination. Only those students will be eligible for the counselling round whose name has appeared in the merit list.

BVP B.Tech Lateral Entry 2019: Counselling

The counselling process for lateral entry in BVP B.Tech 2019 will be conducted from July 10, 2019. There will be a combined counselling process for all the branches and streams of engineering. After the conducting body declared the result for the entrance test it will dispatch counselling letters to students whose name appears in the merit list. Applicants will be sent counselling invitation letter via email. If any candidate does not appear for the counselling process, the conducting body will cancel their claim for admission. The conducting body will provide admission strictly on the basis of merit position of the candidates. All the candidates invited for the counselling process are required to be present in person at the institution. Candidates along with one guardian/parent will be allowed entry in the counselling centre. Applicants appearing for counselling need to bring in all the required documents in original at the counselling centre for the purpose of document verification. In any case, if a student does not receive the invitation letter for counselling, however, their name is displayed in the merit list, such students are required to reach the counselling centre as per the schedule. All the candidates who have been allotted seats will have to pay the entire annual tuition fee at once. The admission fee shall be paid through a demand draft on the name of “Registrar, Bharti Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune”. Candidates who fail to deposit the tuition fee before the last date shall lose their claim for admission.
