Thapar University B.Tech Eligibility Criteria 2017 - The Admission Committee of Thapar University has set a number of eligibility criteria that aspirants have to meet to be considered for admission to B.Tech courses at the university. Prominent among them include educational and age limit requirements. Additionally, only Indian candidates can apply for admission and seats will be allotted based on the candidate’s JEE Main 2017 scores. Candidates seeking admission to B.Tech courses must meet the Thapar University B.Tech Eligibility Criteria 2017 for their applications to be considered for the Thapar University B.Tech Admissions 2017. Here we bring you the eligibility criteria of Thapar University B.Tech Admission 2017 in detail.
Nationality: Only Indian citizens can apply for admission
Age Limit: Candidates must be born on or after October 1, 1991 (ST/SC/PH candidates are eligible for age relaxation for up to five years)
Educational Qualification: Thapar University has allowed for the eligibility according to the pass percentage of the applicants. The eligibility criteria given below does not hold true for PGN, GoI, JKM, JK students & N-E candidates.
Class XII Eligibility:
Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and any of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Computer Science
Candidates who have scored a minimum of 60% (55% for SC/ST) marks in a Diploma recognized by AICTE or a state board of technical education of at least 3-year duration.
JEE Main 2017 Marks: Candidates must have secured an aggregate of 20% marks (15% for SC/ST candidates) in JEE (Main)-2017 to be considered for Thapar University B. Tech Admission 2017.
Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with at least 80% marks (75% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and any of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Computer Science in 10+2 or equivalent exam
JEE Main 2017 Marks: Such Candidates must have secured an aggregate of 15% marks (10% for SC/ST candidates) in JEE (Main)-2017.
Toppers of State Boards:
The top 5 toppers of state boards will be eligible for direct admission on the basis of their marks in Class XII. However they must have appeared for JEE Main 2017. The marks in JEE Main will not be considered for the admission of these students. Such toppers must submit proof of their marks during counselling. Candidates availing admissions under this scheme must fulfill the other eligibility of nationality and age.

If we talk about cutoff then previous year cutoff for general category was 89.75 percentile.So you have prepare like that you can acheive this mark.

Now come to your second question if your fundamental are strong in physics then you should try a lot of problems from book called universal self scorer.you have select the chapters which you treat as easy and you have to work on that chapters only.if you are consistent during this one month period then definite you can score good in Physics.
