Dear aspirant !
Hope you are doing well !!
Lateral Entry Programme is being offered at universities and engineering colleges enabling students who have completed 3-year diploma in Engineering or B.Sc. degree or equivalent examination with at least 50% marks, and Mathematics as a compulsory subject in Class XII, to get admitted in the second year directly.
Hope it helps you !
Yes, it's possible to apply for direct admission to the second year of BE in Instrumentation and Control Engineering after completing a diploma in food technology. However, admission policies vary by college to college as different colleges have different policies. If you have any specific college in mind please share.
Hope this helps you,
Thank you

No, a diploma in Mechanical Engineering won't directly qualify you for entry into the second year of a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (BTech) program in Instrumentation Engineering
Mechanical Engineering and Instrumentation Engineering are distinct disciplines with varying course content. While there might be some overlap in basic engineering principles, the focus areas and specializations differ significantly.
Universities usually have limited flexibility for credit transfer between programs, especially for substantial portions like a full year of a different engineering degree.
I hope it helps!

hello aspirant
In order to become an ISRO scientist, you first have to complete Graduation in BE/Btech in any one of the popular streams from Mechanical engineering, Computer Engineering or Electronics Engineering. Then You have to apply and appear for ICRB Exam (ISRO centralized Recruitment Board Exam).
The eligibility criteria to apply for ICRB exam is as follows :
Students must have completed BTech or BE degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or Mechanical or any other related field with a minimum aggregate of 65% marks or 6.8 CGPA on a scale of 10 .
So with this being said, You are not eligible for ICRB exam with the above mentioned engineering branch.
I hope that this will help.
Instrumentation and Control Engineering isn't a core branch. Its a applied branch and obviously an interdisciplinary branch of Electrical, Mechanical and Electronics engineering. Instrumentation and Control Engineering is a good field of study and you have a very good prospect in private sector.

I hope this helps. Wish you a great eve!
Hello Aspirant,
It is really difficult to get into a government college at this rank through JoSAA counselling rounds. However, you should try your luck in CSAB counselling. In CSAB rounds you can get colleges at higher ranks and if you're lucky, you might get a branch of your preference. CSAB counselling is held after the JoSAA counselling is over and you need to register for it seperately.
CSAB SEAT ALLOTMENT PROCEDURE:
In order to participate in the CSAB 2022 special round seat allotment, the candidates will have to follow the steps as under.

Hello aspirant,
With the above mentioned OBC category rank and according to the CET Bhubaneshwar Cutoff for previous years, you have good chances of getting Instrumentation and Electronics Engineering with your above mentioned OBC category rank. The previous year Cutoff for IEE was 134530, so you can easily get with the above category rank. Moreover, with your above mentioned OBC rank, some other Branches that you can get are Civil engineering, Biotechnology, and textile Engineering.
Further, to know more about the CET bhubaneshwar cutoff for previous year, you can follow the below mentioned link to know more : https://www.careers360.com/colleges/odisha-university-of-technology-and-research-bhubaneswar
