Ask your question related to Electrical Engineering

Yes, as a B.Tech Electrical Engineering student, you can choose Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DA) as your first paper in the GATE exam. GATE allows candidates to choose papers outside their core branch if they meet the paper-wise eligibility. However, DA is a bit coding and math-heavy, so make sure you’re comfortable with programming, linear algebra, and data handling. If you're interested in AI/ML fields or higher studies in that area, DA is a good choice for you.

Official fee details for the college don't include any donation charges. Admission to their diploma courses is usually based on how well you did in your 10th-grade exams. Some places also say they admit students in the order they apply, as long as you meet the basic requirements.

I can provide you with the official fee information available for the Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Sankara Polytechnic College, which is located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

For your first year, you can expect to pay around Rs.53,500. The total cost for the entire diploma will vary. If it's a regular 3-year course or a shorter 2-year course (if you join later), the total tuition could be anywhere from Rs.60,800 to Rs.1,18,000. If you opt for part-time studies, the yearly fee is likely to be about Rs.41,300.

Besides these main fees, there are some extra charges you'll need to budget for. When you apply, there's probably a small fee of around Rs.300. Once you get in, there's an admission fee of about Rs.4,000. You'll also need to pay for your uniform, which might cost around Rs.2,500. Each year, there will be additional charges for things like stationery and placement help, totaling around Rs.7,000. If you join any clubs, there's a semesterly fee of about Rs.2,000. If you plan to stay in the hostel, that will cost you roughly Rs.15,000 per year.

So, keep in mind that while the first-year fee is around Rs.53,500, the total cost will depend on the course duration and you'll need to factor in these extra charges for a complete picture.

I hope this helps.

Hello,

With a GATE score of 480 , rank 2998 , and OBC-NCL category in EE , you have chances in some NITs, IIITs, and good state government colleges for M.Tech. Getting into IITs might be difficult, but newer or lower-ranked IITs may consider you in some interdisciplinary branches.

For jobs , some PSUs recruit through GATE , but for top PSUs, your score might be low. You can still apply for state government jobs, private companies, and research fellowships that accept GATE scores.

Since you are in third year , your score will be valid for next year also. You don’t need to apply for admission this year. In your final year (next year), you need to apply for COAP (for IITs) and CCMT (for NITs, IIITs, etc.) .

Right now, no forms are required . Just focus on improving your score if you want better IITs or PSUs next year.

Hope it helps !

Hello,

Here are some of the best colleges for M.Tech in Electrical Engineering after GATE:

IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT Hyderabad, IISc Bangalore, IIT BHU, NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal, NIT Warangal

IITs and IISc are the top choices, but some NITs like NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal, and NIT Warangal are also good options. Your GATE score and preferences will decide the best fit for you.

Hope it helps !

Congratulations on scoring in GATE2025 exam.
Here are some list of colleges which fits for your mark and rank.

You can choose your course based on your bachelor's degree ,we would suggest pursuing the masters of the course , the same you did for bachelor.

hello,

As of March today, 2025, the expected JEE Main 2025 cutoff for SC category candidates seeking admission to Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNIT) Allahabad varies based on the branch and the quota. For female candidates under the Other State (OS) quota, the closing ranks are around  2,595-2,615 for Electrical Engineering, . These figures are estimates based on previous trends, and actual cutoffs may vary. It is recommended to monitor the official announcements from MNNIT Allahabad and the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) for the most accurate and up-to-date information.

hello,

with a gate 2025 rank of 873 and a gate score of 630 in electrical engineering, your chances of getting into a PSU are possible, but it dependson the specific PSU and the cutoff for the year. your rank is 873, you may have a chance in some of the medium or smaller PSUs that may have cutoffs in the range of 800-1200

Hello ,

I am assuming that you are asking about comparison between both the branches of engineering. See , CE branch is a subset of electrical branch in which you will study about software more. But in electrical branch you have to deal with the networks, power system, software and hardware both. Both branches have good scope in jobs.

I hope this helps you !!
