Questions related to NIFFT Ranchi
The institute fee of NIFFT Hatia, Ranchi is 25,600 .per semester is this fee return to us in the form of scholarship and my cast is obc-ncl
Hello Srinivas. Since you belong to obc category, you can apply for obc scholarship that is given by the government wherein you will get a certain amount of the fees back. For this your family income should be less than 1 lakh and also various other rules are given by different colleges. You will have to provide with all the documents in order to avail the scholarship. Good luck.
Is it good to join in manufacturing engineering in nifft, please say me ,I am in great dilema
NIFFT is a better choice than CS/IT of private colleges both in terms of placement percentage (more than 90% placement, which is better then NITs like NIT Patna) and amount of pay pulled by the students (both mean 4.75 lpa and maximum 14 lpa for 2017–18). Moreover its a government college with extremely less fee and its own industrial brand value.
However, manufacturing is not as lucrative option because you will have to appear for GATE from Mechanical or Production so extra work will be required. However there have been people from NIFFT's manufacturing department in the past who have made it to MIT Massachusetts and have gone to become professors at IITs. Many of them have are successfull IIM alumnis leading major companies. So it's not a complete disaster.
I won't say that you shouldn't be afraid. I will advise you to look for other options. But I will also say that your future is in your hands. Although Manufacturing engineering is not a glamorous degree, some people from this department have been exceptionally successful so in my opinion it would be unfair to criticize it. It really depends upon the student instead of the branch or college in my opinion.
I got manufacturing in nifft in round 6 also, what should I do shall I withdraw from josaa or wait next round,my obc ncl rank is 16k
Your rank is very low and with a rank like 16000, getting a seat in government college is considered very lucky. You may wait for the last round as it won't harm your previous seat but according to me, manufacturing engineering in NIFFT is a good choice. The total seat reserved for OBC candidates in Josaa is 10972 with IITs having 3500 seats and NITs having 5215 seats.
My obc rank 17433. I was alloted with nifft in 4th round. Can I get a better option in further rounds and also special round???
As your query is your OBC rank is 17433 and the seat alloted to you in 4rth round was for NIFFT . But you want to go for further better options through other rounds of counselling.
I would like to tell you that of course you can go with other rounds of counselling and the special round of counselling too , but you should keep the seat alloted to you in first round of counselling as float so that eventually if somehow that doesn't work , you'll still have the option .
Further, if you have any query regarding the same you can let me know in the comment section below.
I hope your query is solved.
Sir I was alloted with nifft ranchi, manufacture engineering. I would like to know what would be the scope of I joined that campus.
National Institute of Foundry and Forge, Ranchi is a good option if you are interested in Manufacturing and metallurgy branch. The placement is good because of being a specific branch college. Companies like Bharat forge Limited, Essar Steels, ISPAT, etc. visit the campus frequently.
All The Best.
