Hello,
With JEE Main percentile of 87.39 your approx rank can be around 126100 ( Assuming 10 lakhs candidates have appeared in the exam )
Pandit Deendayal Energy University ( PDEU )
Nirma University
Given your percentile and approx rank, getting admission in these branches at either PDEU or Nirma University is unlikely based on the past trends. Do check for other colleges as well
Apart from JEE Main, VITEEE, and SRMJEE, you can consider the following entrance exams for engineering admissions in India:
1. National-Level Exams:
BITSAT – BITS Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad
WBJEE – For engineering colleges in West Bengal
COMEDK UGET – For private engineering colleges in Karnataka
MET (Manipal Entrance Test) – For Manipal Institute of Technology
KIITEE – For KIIT University, Bhubaneswar
AMUEEE – For Aligarh Muslim University (AMU)
CUET UG (for B.Tech at some universities) – Includes central and private universities offering B.Tech
2. State-Level Exams:
MHT CET – For Maharashtra engineering colleges
KEAM – For Kerala engineering colleges
AP EAMCET – For Andhra Pradesh engineering colleges
TS EAMCET – For Telangana engineering colleges
Dear aspirant !!
Hope you are doing well !
With a 70.7 percentile in JEE Mains and being from the general category (Punjab) as the only girl child, your chances of getting into NIT Jalandhar or NIT Hamirpur will depend on various factors such as:
Category-wise Cutoff : The closing rank for general category candidates at these NITs can vary each year based on several factors such as the number of candidates, difficulty level of the exam, and seat availability. The percentile you have is relatively on the lower side, so the opening and closing ranks of the previous years will give you an idea of whether it's possible.
Gender-based Relaxation : Some NITs provide slight relaxation in cutoff for female candidates, which might increase your chances slightly.
Home State Quota : Being from Punjab, you would fall under the home state quota for NIT Jalandhar. Home state quota typically has a lower cutoff compared to the All India quota, so this could work in your favour
You should check the opening and closing ranks for the past few years on the official JOSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) website or other platforms that publish detailed information about the cutoff trends. It's also advisable to stay updated on the counseling process to understand if there is any possibility of getting a seat through other categories like the home state quota or female quota.

yes, the admission to engineering courses at Delhi University (DU) is primarily conducted through JEE Main, not through the CUET (Common University Entrance Test).
Earlier, DU used to accept marks from the JEE Main exam for admissions to undergraduate engineering courses. However, the CUET (introduced for admission to undergraduate courses in many universities, including DU, for non-engineering programs) does not replace the requirement for JEE Main for engineering admissions. Therefore, candidates aspiring for engineering courses at DU must appear for JEE Main and not the CUET.
To summarize, for engineering courses at DU:
For confirmation, it's always a good idea to refer to the official DU website or the admission notice of the specific academic year.
Dear student,
I hope you are doing well!

Hello Anita,
Based on your percentile score in JEE Mains which is 99.354 which is quite excellent. However to get admissions
1. IIT you also have to give JEE Advance and minimum percentage in your class 12th shall be 75 % for general category and 65 % for SC/ST category candidates.
2. NIT you are eligible based on your JEE Mains score and also you should have minimum percentage in your class 12th shall be 75 % for general category and 65 % for SC/ST category candidates.
For JOSSA also you should qualify above criteria.
Hope this helps you, for any further query do reach out to us.
hello,
your son is eligible for JOSAA counselling, but likely not eligible since he has studied in india for most of his education.
No, Unfortunately you cannot get admission in CS branch in VIT using your percentile in JEE Mains. You should write VITEEE 2025 for getting admission in any of the VIT college.Your rank should be less than 5000 in VITEEE 2025 entrance exam for claiming CS branch . The VITEEE exam will also be less harder than JEE exam, since you have scored a good percentile in JEE you can score very good marks in VITEEE. All the Best
