The last date for submitting the JKPET 2024 application form is July 15, 2024. Students who have passed the Matriculation or equivalent exam with a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate for both general and reserved category candidates with Science and Mathematics as compulsory subjects are eligible to apply for JKPET exam 2024. The authority has released the notification for JK Polytechnic 2024 online at the official website. Candidates who wish to get admission to the Diploma courses offered in the Polytechnic institutes located in Jammu and Kashmir will have to appear and qualify for the JKPET exam 2024. To appear for the JKPET 2024 exam candidates will have to complete the JK Polytechnic registration online.
JKPET 2024 will be conducted as an offline exam for a duration of 3 hours. As per the JKPET exam pattern, the paper will consist of a total of 180 multiple-choice questions. The exam will have four sections- Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English. Students should check the JKPET exam pattern and syllabus before commencing the preparation for the Jammu and Kashmir Polytechnic exam.

The authority has released the JKPET 2024 eligibility criteria online at the official website. jkbopee.gov.in. The eligibility criteria of JK Polytechnic 2024 comprises the set of conditions prescribed by exam officials that the candidates have to meet to be considered for admission. Any candidate who doesn't meet any of the mandatory JKPET eligibility criteria would no longer be considered for admission even if he/she qualifies in the entrance exam. The authority will release the JKPET 2024 application form on May 1, 2024 online at the official website. Candidates will be able to fill out the JK Polytechnic 2024 application form in mode. The application process comprises of registration, form filling, uploading of documents and fee payment. To make the JKPET application filling process smooth and error-free, candidates are advised to keep ready soft copies of documents like photographs, signatures and thumb impressions, as well as academic documents and credit card/debit card/net banking details. Board of Professional Entrance Examination Jammu & Kashmir will release the JKPET 2024 admit card online at the official website, jkbopee.gov.in. The exam authorities will release the answer key of JK Polytechnic 2024 in online mode. The JKPET answer key 2024 will contain the official answers to the questions asked in the entrance exam. The candidate by referring to the JKPET 2024 answer key will be able to determine probable scores, and thus assess their chances of admission before the actual result is declared. The authorities will first release the provisional answer key of JKPET 2024. Candidates will be allowed to challenge the JKPET answer key 2024. The final and revised answer key will be released after considering all such complaints.
JKBOPEE will announce the JK Polytechnic 2024 results online at the official website. The result of JKPET 2024 will be declared by authorities in the form of a merit list. Using the marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying exam, the authorities will release a JKPET merit list which will be used for short-listing candidates for counselling and seat allotment. The JK Polytechnic merit list will be category-specific, so reserved category candidates may appear in more than one merit list.
Note - In the unlikely event of the entrance exam not being conducted, the merit list will be derived based on aggregate marks of class 10 (or qualifying exam).
JKPET Merit List- Inter se Merit
If two or more candidates score the same marks in the entrance exam, the inter-se merit will be determined in the following sequence:
The branch and category-wise cutoff of JK Polytechnic 2024 will be determined for all the participating institutes of the exam. The JKPET cutoff generally indicates the last rank for which admission is offered to a particular branch and category of the specific institute. So it is always a good idea to score a better rank than the JKPET cutoff rank to have a good chance of admission.
It may be noted that the JKPET cutoff ranks are not static, but vary from branch to branch, category to category, and institute to institute. It is because it depends on variables like – the number of seats on offer, the category of the candidate, applications received for admission, etc.

JK Polytechnic 2024 counselling will be conducted for eligible candidates as per the schedule. To participate in online JKPET counselling 2024, short-listed candidates had to physically attend the counselling as per the schedule released by the authorities.
