Careers360: How is the campus life, is it all packed up in a routine or equally divided between fun and study? What is the best thing about your campus, something that differentiates it from the others?
Sagar: The campus life is probably the best thing one could ever expect from life. We have excelled in all domains of life. The primary reason for this is FREEDOM. We have this so called ‘0% attendance’ rule. We do not have any stringent DO’s and DON’T’s, though we do abide by basic protocols. This has turned each one of us into responsible and self-motivated people. It is the ambience of the institute, which probably makes it totally different from others. Students of BITS Pilani make this isolated place a great place to live. Having survived the temperature of -5 degrees in winters to 50 degrees in summers, the packed schedule during exams, the assignment deadlines, you begin to enjoy each phase of life. There is some peculiar confidence instilled in everyone here.
Careers360: How adequately the students divide academic and non-academic activities on the campus? What about the participation in societies/conferences and events? Do students contribute in the magazines?
Sagar: Bitsians have actually succeeded in maintaining the work-life balance. It is very much possible to comply with both your academic and non-academic work. There has been active participation in various societies and conferences. Students have often been to many reputed conferences for presenting their research work. Apart from this, there is an annual BITS magazine of our campus. Many departments also publish their own magazine.
Careers360: Is there any code language or may be few college lingos that are popularly used among the students?
Sagar: “LITE” is the mantra of Bitsians. This attitude of taking difficult phases in stride helps us in our stay here in BITS Pilani. Moreover, students who end up spending most of their time in books are called ‘Ghots’.
Careers360: Is there an informal grapevine communication that tells the campus students about the gossips or the latest happenings? Tell us something secretive about the campus, a leak perhaps which when others will read might get stunned.
Sagar: There is no need of any formal method of grapevine communication. It hardly takes any time for news to spread. Such is the bonding amongst wingies and fellow Bitsians. Though, Facebook groups and pages can also be useful sometimes. We also have a monthly newsletter to inform students about campus happenings. As far as something secretive is concerned, google ‘Gandhi 137’.
Careers360: What do you do when you are not studying or not attending the classes? What do you do in your leisure time?
Sagar: We can pursue any interest. Name anything; we have a club for it. Informally also, people do whatever they like, be it music, art, photography, sports, literature, whatever. I rarely go to library because I end up either staring other students or staring books, rather than studying dedicatedly. But it is usually packed during examinations.
Careers360: What has been the most recent news or event that has happened in your campus? Does your campus have any annual fest? Please tell us about it.
Sagar: Recently, we have had our Convocation. We annually have our cultural fest Oasis, continuously for 96 hours. This is the time, which any Bitsian desperately waits for throughout the year. It is better to come and experience it at BITS Pilani as the excitement and joy cannot be explained in words.
Careers360: There are always normal hangouts and few special hangouts like boy’s secret corridors or other corner. Mention all to us.
Sagar: Shiv Ganga, Ganga, Chotti Ganga and Hostel Terrace are some secret hangouts place. Let other places still remain secret!!
Careers360: Any liberty that students demand from the academic authorities, might be any additions or removal of few rules?
Sagar: We have 100% liberty. What else can we expect!! Besides imparting knowledge, BITS Pilani provides you complete freedom to pursue your interest as well.
Careers360: What are the best fun activities that happen in the Boys/Girls hostel, especially in the nights? Any pranks, games or may be just running around that is loved by all and adds a life to the hostel?
Sagar: Poker, LAN Gaming, Birthday GPL and fire are some of the activities, which add life to hostel. These fun activities make the Campus of BITS Pilani come alive.
Careers360: Are there any Inter-engineering college competitions, sports activities or any other events? What are the main attractions and buzz about them?
Sagar: We have annual sports meet named BOSM and the annual tech festival APOGEE. You can see active participation of all the students during our fests.
Careers360: Do you any Facebook page of your campus where the students express their views or jokes or ideas, or maybe even a blog where students write about their experience of Life at Campus?
Sagar: We do have FB pages and groups related to academics, internships, alma-matter, trips, wing groups, hostel groups, mess groups, clubs pages, cultural associations groups etc. Few students also have their own blogs.

I may get Electrical & electronincs or Electrical & instrumentation branch is BITS hyderabad /Goa , where as I got Computer science in VIT ,Vellore campus. Please suggest which one is better from career perspective .
First of all a very big congratulations to you if you are getting bits goa or bits Hyderabad.
Now if you are confused between bits goa / Hyderabad and Vellore institute of technology, vellore, then obviously you should take bits goa.
The bits goa is the top college after bits pilnai among all the three campus of birla institute of technologya and science.
If you are confused between bits goa and bits Hyderabad, then certainly you must go for bits goa.
In bits campus all the toppers and rankers get admission and it's exam is comparable to jee advanced.
Vellore institute of technology is certainly no match for birla institute of technology and science.
If you are getting electrical and electronics or electrical and instrumentation engineering in bits goa, then take bits goa.
But if you are interested in cse branch then you can go with vit , vellore. Because if you have an interest iin any subject then you can succeed in in your particular field irrespective of college. Now if your dream subject is ece or eie then go with bits goa.
If you haven't decided that which Branch to take in btech then according to me go with bits goa electronics and instrumentation engineering, as this branch is more demanding and trending in India in comparison to cse.

All the best.
my BITSAT score was 200 can I expect any seat in BITS Hyderabad, or BITS goa.
The cutoffs of different streams are generally higher than the marks you have scored so there is no chance to get in bits hyderabad or goa .
But you can apply for other good private colleges like VIT OR SRM ,they have also good learning environment.
Hope this helps , thank you.
