Candidates will be selected for admission based on the merit list. The authority will prepare the merit list on the basis of class 10 marks. MP PPT 2024 seat allotment will be based on the merit list. Candidates who are allotted seats have to report to the allotted institutes for admission.
The Madhya Pradesh Pre-Polytechnic Test was an entrance conducted for admission to MP Polytechnic institutes in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The test was held by MP PEB (Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board) or MP Vypam once a year. Candidates had to submit the MP PPT application form in online mode. MP PPT exam was held online. However, from the academic year 2024-2025 onwards the authority has dissolved the exam, and admission will be based on class 10 marks.

Procedure for preparing Inter-se Merit
If more than one candidate scores the same marks in the online exam, the following sequence will be used to break the tie:
The candidate with higher marks in Mathematics in the exam will be ranked higher.
To break the tie, older candidates will get preference.
Candidates who have won gold medals at national level competitions, and are awarded 10% bonus marks, as a result, will be ranked lower than normal candidates who have secured the same marks in the exam.
The exam conducting authority will release category and branch-wise MP PPT cutoff ranks for all the participating institutes for each of the MP PPT counselling rounds. The MP PPT cutoff rank for a round will indicate the last rank for which admission is offered in that particular round. MP PPT cutoff will allow candidates to know as to how many marks they need to score in their respective categories and for the specific course to have a fair chance of admission. Considering the cutoff depends on variables like the number of seats available, applications received for admission, as well as the category of the candidate, it usually varies from one course to another, one category to another, and so on and so forth.

The authority will commence the MP PPT counselling process in online mode. Candidates can complete the MP PPT counselling process in online mode. Before the registration candidates must check the eligibility conditions. No application will be accepted after the last date.
The counselling process of MP PPT 2024 comprises registration, choice filling, document verification, and seat allotment.
