GCET Application Details

  • The prospectus of GCET has two application forms. 

  • Candidates will apply for the entrance exam by filling Form A. 

  • GCET Prospectus also consist of Form B which is required during GCET counselling. It is advised to the examinees to keep Form B safe till result of GCET is announced.

Goa CET Application Form A

Applicants have to download and take the print out of GCET Application Form A

They have to post the application form A at location as per the centre opted by them, on specified dates along with application fee of GCET with a demand draft drawn in favor of “Director of Technical Education” at Panaji in Goa in any scheduled bank. They have to send three photographs other relevant certificates (self- attested photo copies).

Applicants shall ensure that the validity of the DD is atleast 3 months from the date of issue.

 

Details to be filled in GCET Application Form A

  • Photograph

  • Name

  • Address

  • Contact number

  • Subject code

  • Centre code

  • Self-attested photo copies of certificates of  class XII and class X passing certificate or passing certificate of  equivalent exam.

 GCET Application Form B

  • Candidates shall also submit Goa CET Application Form B during counselling of GCET.

  • This form will be accepted at the Directorate of Technical Education, Porvorim, Goa, and other notified locations, as per schedule.

  • Documents to be carried with GCET Application Form B include 2 passport size photographs (taken not earlier than three months from the date of application), one of which should be affixed to Application Form B and the other photograph should be affixed to the acknowledgement card of GCET.

GCET Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility based on Nationality

  • It is also important that a candidate must be a resident of Goa to apply for entrance exam.

  • Candidates from states other than Goa are not allowed to apply for GCET.

  • Admission to engineering programmes in Goa is open to Indian nationals. 

  • Non-resident Indians holding Indian passport may also apply for seats reserved under NRI category. Overseas Citizens of India (OCI)/Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) cardholders are considered eligible for admissions under NRI Category.

 Eligibility based on Qualifying Examination

  • Applicants must have passed class XII from Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination.

  • They must have studied English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology with minimum aggregate marks of 45% for general category candidates.  Applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories must have studied English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology  with minimum aggregate marks of 40%.

GCET Counselling Details

Qualified candidates have to appear in GCET Counselling in person. GCET Counselling will be conducted at  the process of document verification of GCET Counselling.

  • The candidates must ensure to bring valid documents before appearing for the counselling of GCET. 

  • The original documents of verification along with one set of photocopy is required to appear in GCET counselling.

  • Passport size photographs identical to that of photograph affixed on Application Form of GCET

  • Certificate for proof of Date of Birth (class X certificate)

  • Class XII passing certificate or statement of marks

  • School/college leaving certificate

  • Residence Certificate

  • Certificate to claim reserved category

  • Documents to claim relaxation in the period of residence (if applicable)

  • Acknowledgement card of GCET with photograph affixed to it

  • GCET Admit Card

  • Income Certificate (For Tuition Fee Waiver)

  • Certificate of Eligibility from Goa University (for applicants other than Goa Board of Exam)
