WBJEE 2020 - West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board will be releasing the WBJEE 2020 result soon on its official website. After the declaration of result, the authorities will release the ctegory-wise and General WBJEE merit list for the candidates eligible for counselling. Earlier, the authorities have released the OMR images and Machine Read Responses of WBJEE 2020 for candidates who appeared in exam. Students not satisfied with their recorded responses were able to claim for review up to February 22. The answer key of WBJEE 2020 has already been released on February 17. Candidates were allowed to view and challenge the answer keys up to February 19 (11:59 PM). WBJEE exam consists of two papers - Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry). The application form of WBJEE was available from October 18 to November 13. The facility for correction in WBJEE application form was available from November 14 to 16. WBJEE 2020 admit card was released on January 24 in online mode. The result will be declared in the form of rank card. WBJEE will provide admissions into 114 participating institutes through the counselling procedure. Allotment will be done as per the rank secured in the examination. WBJEEB will be declaring the result of WBJEE 2020 in online mode. The result will be released in the form of rank card. Details such as the secured component scores, total scores, ranks and more will be present in WBJEE 2020 result/rank card. To check and download their rank card, the candidates will have to log in using the required credentials.

Once the result is declared, the authorities will release WBJEE 2020 merit list in online mode. Candidates will be able to check the merit list of WBJEE 2020 by logging in with the application number and password. The merit list will include the category-wise and General merit for candidates shortlisted for the counselling process. The authorities will prepare a inter se merit in case of same scores obtained by two or more candidates in the exam. Also, it must be noted that 10% seats in all Self-financed and technology colleges are reserved for JEE Main qualified candidates.
The authorities have released the provisional answer key in online mode on February 17. The answer key of WBJEE consist of the correct answers to all of the questions asked in the entrance examination. Using WBJEE 2020 answer key, the candidates were able to calculate their probable secured scores by comparing their responses with the correct ones. Candidates were also able to raise objections against the provisional answer key till February 19. For each objection, the candidates has to pay Rs. 500. The final answer key will be released after the objections are reviewed by the authorities.
WBJEE 2020 was conducted on February 2 as a pen and paper examination. It was seen that the paper followed the pattern of JEE Main. According to the students who attempted the exam, the Mathematics section was tough and lengthy. Most of the questions in the Mathematics section was conceptual and application based. Paper 1 (Mathematics) was divided into three sections:
In Paper 2, Physics and Chemistry were easier as compared to Mathematics. For the Chemistry section, the questions were mainly from Organic, Inorganic and Physical topics. Physics had three sections:
WBJEEB had released the admit card of WBJEE on January 24. Candidates could access the admit card in online mode. Details about the entrance examination such as the venue address, timings and more were available in the WBJEE 2020 admit card. Candidates must note that they were required to present their WBJEE admit card at the examination centre along with a valid identity proof. No candidate was allowed to enter the examination centre without a valid admit card and photo Id proof.

Candidates were advised to reach the exam centre at least 30 minutes before the examination starts. After the scheduled time, the candidates were not allowed to enter the examination hall. Similarly, no candidate was allowed to exit the examination hall before the end of the exam.
Without the admit card and identity proof, the candidates were not allowed to attempt the exam.
Calculator, documents, pen, wristwatch, log table, written or printed material or any form of communication devices like mobile number were not allowed inside the examination hall.

WBJEEB has closed the WBJEE 2020 application form on November 13. The service for application form correction was available from November 14 to 16 in online mode. To participate in the examination and admission process, candidates were required to fill and submit the application form within last date. While filling out WBJEE 2020 application form, all of the valid details had to be provided. Before registration, the candidates were advised to check the eligibility criteria.
Step 1 - Registration: Firstly, the candidates had to register by entering their name, date of birth, gender, parent’s name, identity proof details and more. A password also had to be generated by the candidates.
Step 2 - Filling of WBJEE Application Form 2020: After registration, the candidates had to fill their personal, academic and category details.
Step 3 - Uploading of Scanned Documents: Next, the candidates were required to upload their photograph and signature as per the specifications mentioned by the authorities. The specifications were

Step 4 - Fee Payment: The required fee had to be paid by the candidates through online mode i.e., net banking/credit card/debit card.
Step 5 - Print Out Confirmation Page: The generated confirmation page had to be downloaded and printed out for future use.

The authorities state some conditions and requirements that are essential to be fulfilled by the candidates to participate in the entrance examination and for admissions. These conditions constitute the eligibility criteria of WBJEE 2020. If the candidates are unable to meet the criteria, then they are likely to be disqualified from the admission process.
Nationality - Candidates should be a citizen of India.
Age Limit - Should be born on or before December 31, 2003. The candidates should be at least 17 years old as on December 31, 2020. WBJEE 2020 does not have any upper age limit. However, candidates applying for Marine Engineering should not be more than 25 years as on December 31, 2020.
Academic Qualifications - The candidates should have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) examination with Physics and Mathematics along with any one of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science/Computer Application/Technical Vocational Subject as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks. The board of the qualifying examination must be recognized by the Central Government or State Government concerned.
Marks Required - Should have obtained at least 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD) in the above mentioned three subjects. The candidates should have scored at least 30% marks in English.

The exam centres of WBJEE consist of the list of cities where the entrance examination was conducted. Candidates were able to select their preference of exam cities while filling out the application form. Allotment of WBJEE 2020 exam centres was done as per preference and availability of seat. WBJEE 2020 was conducted in 60 exam centres across 23 West Bengal districts and 1 districts in Assam and Tripura each.

The official syllabus of WBJEE 2020 has been released by the authorities. The subjects and topics which had to be studied for the examination were present in the WBJEE 2020 syllabus. The cutoff of WBJEE will consist of the minimum ranks that the candidates will have to secure to have higher chances of admission into the participating institutes. While preparing the cutoff, the authorities will consider various factors related to the entrance examination such as difficulty level, number of applicants, previous year cutoff trends and more. Registrations for WBJEE 2020 counselling will commence in online mode. Those candidates who qualify the entrance examination will have to register for the counselling procedure. The required details have to be provided to complete the registration procedure. Counselling fee of Rs. 500 also has to be paid through online mode i.e., net banking/credit card/debit card. The preferred choices and institutes have to be selected by the candidates. While filling the choices, the candidates are advised to fill as many as they can. All of the choices selected should be in the order of preference.
After registration and choice filling for the counselling procedure is completed, the authorities will announce the seat allotment of WBJEE. Candidates will be able to check their seat allotment status in online mode. No individual allotment letters will be sent to the candidates. WBJEE 2020 seat allotment result of all three rounds will be announced on the official website. All of the selected candidates will have to report to their allotted institutes within the specified timeline. Verification of documents and payment of balance fee has to be done for confirmation of admission. Failure to do so will lead to the cancellation of allotted seat.
