MHT CET 2018 – The application form of MHT CET 2018 with late fee is available now in online mode for all interested candidates. The last date to register for MHT CET 2018 without late fee was opened till March 25. Candidates can submit the online application form of MHT CET 2018 with late fee of Rs. 500 till April 4. Maharashtra will conduct MHT CET 2018 on May 10. The entrance test of MHT CET will be held for 2 papers – Paper I for Mathematics (1.30 hours) and Paper II (1.30 hours) for Physics and Chemistry in offline or pen & paper based mode. Candidates will be able to download the admit card of MHT CET 2018 from April 24, 2018. Candidates are required to enter their Aadhaar Card details while filling the application form of MHT CET 2018. So candidates who do not have Aadhaar card must bear this point in mind and get their Aadhaar Cards made. Every year, over 4 lakh candidates appear in the state level engineering entrance test for admission to B.Tech programmes across the participating institutes. What's New in MHT CET 2018
20% weightage in the MHT CET 2018 examination will be given to 11th standard syllabus while the remaining 80% weightage will be given to 12th standard syllabus.
The difficulty level of MHT CET 2018 will be raised and be almost equal to JEE Main in terms of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and NEET for Biology.
The approximate number of questions based on 11th standard will be 10 and from 12th standard will be 40. The questions will be application based.

The admit card of MHT CET 2018 will be available in online mode from April 24 to May 10. It must be noted that MHT CET 2018 admit card will be available for only candidates who have successfully submitted their application form for the test and have paid the application fee. In order to download MHT CET 2018 admit card online, candidates have to enter their application number and password (entered at the time of the application filling). Candidates must note that MHT CET admit card is a very important document and no candidate will be allowed to sit for the test on the scheduled day if they do not possess the admit card of MHT CET 2018. Thus, all candidates must bear in mind seriously to take their admit card of MHT CET 2018 on the exam day. They must also ensure after downloading the admit card that all the information reflecting on the admit card is correct to the best of their ability.

The application form of MHT CET 2018 with late fee is available now in online mode. DTE Maharastra has extended the last date to fill and submit the MHT CET 2018 application form with late fee of Rs. 500 till April 4. Before filling the application form, the candidates must carefully check if they meet MHT CET 2018 eligibility criteria. Candidates must also keep digital/ scanned copies of their photograph and signature (which is to be uploaded in the online application form) in the prescribed format before they start to fill the application form. In case due to any reason, any candidate has filled in incorrect information or wants to change any entry, then DTE Maharashtra gives a few days to update or edit the details entered in the online MHT CET 2018 application form after its submission. However, this facility is just provided only once, so candidates must be very careful while making changes in the application particulars.

After successfully submitted MHT CET 2018 application form, candidates can do rectifications through MHT CET application correction window which is available tentatively from Second week of April 2018.
It’s quite important for all candidates planning to appear in MHT CET 2018 to check carefully all the eligibility conditions before they apply for the test. MHT CET 2018 eligibility criteria varies from candidates belonging to different categories, home state and from states outside Maharashtra. Eligibility criteria of MHT CET 2018 include eligibility conditions related to age, qualifying examination, marks scored in the qualifying exam, number of attempts, etc.
General category candidates must have scored minimum 50% aggregate marks in class 12th or equivalent exam from a recognised board/ University with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, while reserve category (SC/ST/OBC) candidates need to have scored 45% and above in class 12th.
DTE Maharashtra will conduct MHT CET 2018 at various exam centres in 36 cities and towns of Maharashtra. The number of test centres of MHT CET 2018 may go up or down as per the exam conducting authority’s decision. While filling the application form of MHT CET 2018, the candidates must choose exam centres of MHT CET where they want to appear in the state level test. Candidates must select MHT CET test centres 2018 which are closest and most comfortable to them to appear in the test.

The exam pattern of MHT CET 2018 is determined by DTE Maharashtra, which is the exam conducting body for the state level engineering entrance test. MHT CET 2018 will be held in pen and paper mode or offline mode wherein candidates have to appear in 2 papers – Paper I (Mathematics) & Paper II (Physics & Chemistry).

DTE Maharashtra will tentatively announce result of MHT CET 2018 on or before June 3. Candidates have to check their result online as nobody’s result will be sent to them via post. MHT CET 2018 result will be declared only for those candidates who have taken the state level entrance test. Through the result of MHT CET 2018, DTE Maharashtra will release the rank card/score card of the candidates with their scores/ranks on it. Candidates have to download their MHT CET result 2018, take its printout and keep it safe with them.

The merit list of MHT CET 2018 will be separately prepared and released by the exam authority, apart from the result of the entrance exam. MHT CET merit list 2018 is expected to be released in the third week of June 2018. Candidates will also get to file their grievances against the merit list of MHT CET 2018. Admission to B.Tech programmes across the participating institutes of MHT CET 2018 will be offered based on the merit list/rank list of MHT CET 2018. DTE Maharashtra is expected to first release provisional merit list and then the final merit list of MHT CET 2018.

The cutoff of MHT CET 2018 includes the opening and closing ranks of a particular branch at a college between which admission into B.Tech/B.E. programmes is offered to candidates. Thus, candidates have a rank less than the MHT CET 2018 cutoff will not be eligible for admission. Candidates aspiring to take MHT CET 2018 must look at the cutoff of MHT CET of the previous years and check their admission chances. Doing this help them to know how much they need to score in order to be considered eligible for the admission. Only those candidates who score equal to the cutoff or more than MHT CET 2018 or equal to it will be eligible for admissions.

The counselling and seat allotment of MHT CET 2018 will commence tentatively in the first week of June 2018 and will be conducted in three rounds. MHT CET counselling 2018 will be Centralized Counselling Process (CAP). The admission committee may also hold an additional CAP round to fill vacant seats if the need arises. Counselling and seat allotment of MHT CET 2018 will be done according to the merit list of MHT CET 2018, with candidates placed higher getting precedence over lower ranked candidates.
MHT CET 2018 counselling includes the following steps
Step 1: Filling of Online Application form to participate in MHT CET Counselling 2018 (Centralised Admission Process)
Step 2: Visiting Facilitation (FC) in person for Document Verification
Step 3: Display of provisional merit list of eligible candidates
Step 4: Reporting at allotted institute to confirm allotted seat after final CAP round.
During the counselling process, candidates have to participate in choice filling and locking. There are also options like freeze, slide, and float, which allow a candidate to be flexible with their options. After the final CAP round, candidates who have been allotted seats have to report at the institution finally allotted to them to confirm their seats.
