MHT CET 2019 - State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra has released the online application form of MHT CET 2019 on January 1. Candidates must complete the MHT CET registration process by March 31, 2019. MHT CET 2019 will be conducted from May 2 to 13 (tentatively) in a Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. According to the latest notification, the difficulty level will be the same as JEE Main. MHT CET 2019 will be conducted for the candidates who will be seeking admission to various B.tech programmes offered by its participating institutes. Candidates before filling the application form must check and meet the eligibility criteria of MHT CET 2019 prescribed by the authorities. Admit card for MHT CET 2019 will be issued to the candidates tentatively in last week of April in online mode. After the conclusion of the entrance test, authorities will release the provisional answer key tentatively in the last week of May. MHT CET has been re-introduced in the year 2016. Before that (in 2014 and 2015), the state level engineering colleges offered admission to candidates based on JEE Main score. MHT CET Eligibility Criteria 2019

Before proceeding towards applying for entrance exam, candidates must refer and meet MHT CET 2019 eligibility criteria as prescribed by the authorities. The eligibility criteria vary from candidates belonging to different states/cities, state quota etc. Not only has this, eligibility criteria of MHT CET 2019 included the qualifying examination, marks, age criteria etc.

  • Nationality: Must be of Indian nationals

  • Age Criteria: No age limit for appearing in MHT CET 2019.

  • Qualifying Examination &Marks for General Category: Candidates must have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognised board/ University with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

  • Qualifying Examination &Marks for Reserve Category: Candidates belonging from SC/ST/OBC categories must have 45% and above in class 12.

  • Candidates appearing for class 12 board or equivalent examination in 2019 will also be eligible to appear for MHT CET 2019.

MHT CET Application Form 2019

The application form of MHT CET 2019 is available from January 1 in online mode. The last date to register is March 31. Before proceeding towards filling the application form, candidates will have to keep scanned images of their photograph and signature in the prescribed format. For the reference of the candidates, mentioned below are the steps to fill the MHT CET application form 2019:

Steps to Fill MHT CET 2019 Application Form

Step-1 Register: candidates will have to register themselves by submitting their personal, academic, contact, education, bank and other details. Candidates may opt for Regustration through Aadhaar where details are fetched or Non Aadhaar where they fill the details.

Step-2 Generate Password: Once registered, generate the password and keep it safe for all future communications.

Step-3 Fill the Application Form: Enter the other requisite details.

Step-4 Upload Scanned Images: Upload the scanned images of photograph and signature in Jpg/ Jpeg format which should not be more than 50 KB.

Step-5 Pay Application Fee: Once enter all the details, pay MHT CET 2019 application fees either through credit/debit card (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), IMPS, Netbanking, Cash cards/mobile wallets. Candidates can pay through challan also.

MHT CET Exam Centres 2019

The venues where the entrance exam will be conducted will be known as the MHT CET 2019 exam centres. DTE Maharashtra in 2018 held the entrance exam in 36 cities and towns of Maharashtra. The count of exam centres may increase or decrease depending upon the decision of exam conducting body. Candidates will have to choose the exam centres of MHT CET 2019 while filling the application form in order of their preference. MHT CET Syllabus 2019

MHT CET 2019 syllabus will enable candidates to know the topics and units that need to be studied for the entrance examination. The syllabus will carry topics and units from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. MHT CET 2019 will carry questions from the syllabus of Physics, Maths and Chemistry of Class XII. The whole syllabus of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of Std. XII will be included in MHT CET 2019 syllabus. Selected topics will have to be studied from Std. XI syllabus.

MHT CET Sample Papers 2019

DTE Maharashtra will release the MHT CET 2019 sample papers for the candidate's reference. The sample papers will include previous years question papers. Therefore, solving sample papers of MHT CET 2019 will enable candidates to understand the type and nature of the questions that will be asked during the entrance exam. 

MHT CET Admit Card 2019

DTE Maharashtra will issue MHT CET 2019 admit card tentatively in the third week of April in online mode. Admit card will be issued to those candidates only who will successfully fill the application form. It will carry information like exam centre details, candidate’s name, hall ticket number, exam timing etc. Candidates can download the admit card of MHT CET 2019 by entering their application number and password. However, before downloading the admit card, ensure that all the details furnished on it are correct.

The MHT CET 2019 admit card is an important document as failing to carry it to the examination centre will not allow candidates to appear for the exam. 

MHT CET Answer Key 2019

After the conclusion of the entrance test, the official answer key will be released by DTE Maharashtra tentatively in last week of May. The answer key will include the correct responses of the questions asked in the entrance test. Using the answer key, candidates can match their answers and calculate their probable scores. In case of any discrepancies in the answer key candidates can raise the objections along with the documented proof within the given time frame. Based on the complaints/feedback, authorities will release the final MHT CET 2019 answer key. Various coaching institutes will also release the answer key of MHT CET 2019 prepared by their experts. 

MHT CET Rank Predictor 2019

To check the rank before the actual result is declared, candidates can use the MHT CET 2019 rank predictor developed by Careers360. MHT CET Result 2019

MHT CET 2019 result will be announced in online mode tentatively in the first week of June. DTE Maharashtra will release the result only for those candidates who will appear for the examination. MHT CET College Predictor 2019

MHT CET Merit List 2019

Admission to various B.Tech programmes offered by the participating institutes will be offered on the basis of merit list/rank list of MHT CET 2019. The authorities will publish the provisional merit list tentatively in the third week of June. Candidates can check the merit list by submitting their application ID and date of birth. Candidates can In case of any grievances against the MHT CET 2019 merit list, candidates can file it within the given deadline. 

MHT CET Counselling & Seat Allotment 2019

MHT CET 2019 counselling and seat allotment procedure will commence tentatively from the first week of June in online mode. The counselling will be conducted in three rounds along with one additional round to fill the vacant seats. The counselling is Centralized Counselling Process (CAP). Based on the merit list and preference of the candidates, MHT CET 2019 counselling will be conducted. Candidates who will be placed higher will be preferred over the lower-ranked candidates while the seat allotment and counselling of MHT CET 2019. To participate in the MHT CET 2019 counselling candidates will have to register themselves. Along with the registration, candidates will have to pay the counselling fee also. 

Steps Included in MHT CET 2019 Counselling Procedure

Step 1: Online registration to participate in MHT CET 2019 Counselling (Centralised Admission Process). While registering for the counselling, candidates will have fill and lock their choices in order of their preference.

Step 2: Visiting Facilitation (FC) in person for Document Verification

Step 3: Display of provisional merit list of eligible candidates

Step 4: Reporting at the allotted institute to confirm allotted seat after final CAP round. Once seat is allotted to the candidate, they will have the options like freeze, slide, and float.

Q. How will the counselling of MHT CET 2019 be conducted?

Ans: A centralized counselling process (CAP) will be conducted by the authorities for seat allotment. Allotment of seats will be done as per preference, rank, category and availability of seats. 


Q. My CBSE result is declared, however, I do not have the Original Marksheet. I have downloaded the result from the CBSE website. Shall it be accepted?

Ans: Yes. The result will later be verified by the Facilitation Center officer from the Official Website of the concerned International / Central/ State Board.


Q. If I appear for MHT-CET 2019 as well as JEE(Main) Paper I. Should I fill two separate form for Maharashtra Quota and All India Quota?

Ans: No. You will have to enter the scores of the JEE(Main) in a single application form and do not fill separate application.


Q. I will appear for State CET as well as JEE(Main). I belong to Maharashtra State Candidature Type A Candidate. Is it mandatory to fill JEE Details?

Ans: The allotment for All India Quota will be on the basis of score in JEE(Main) Paper 1. Hence to also get a seat in All India quota, fill the JEE details.


Q. I belong to the Maharashtra Type A candidate. Can I send the documents for Document Verification by Post to FC or State CET Cell?

Ans: No, you will be required to come to the FC Center for Document Verification. The applications received by Post/Courier will not be processed.
