CUSAT CAT 2018 – The third allotment of CUSAT CAT 2018 has been announced. The candidates will have to log in and check their allotment status. Payment of fees has to be done by July 1, 2018. The result of CUSAT CAT 2018 was released by the authorities of Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) on June 5. Along with the result, the authorities also released the rank list of the exam. To check the result, candidates were required to log in using their username and password. The computer-based CUSAT CAT 2018 entrance exam was conducted on April 28, 2018. The admit card of CUSAT CAT 2018 was also available till April 28. The application form of CUSAT CAT 2018 was available in online mode from February 7 to 28. In order to fill the application form of CUSAT CAT 2018, candidates had to get registered and pay the applicable application fee. CUSAT released CUSAT CAT mock test/ practise test in online mode for candidates to practice. Candidates could take the mock test from the link below. The eligibility criteria of B.Tech Marine Engineering was different from B.Tech Instrumentation Technology. Based on the scores obtained by candidates in CUSAT CAT, merit list would be drawn and candidates will be called for CUSAT CAT 2018 counselling.

The counselling of CUSAT CAT 2018 has commenced. To participate in CUSAT CAT 2018 counselling, candidates had to get registered (Option Registration) and exercise choice filling; during the process, candidates had to fill in their choice of college and branch. Final date to register the options was June 17, 2018. Candidates were advised to enter as many choices as they could to have maximum chances of admission. Upon completion of the Option Registration process, candidates were able to download the CUCAT CAT counselling letter; CUSAT CAT authorities will not send any separate invitation to candidates. On the day of counselling, the candidate must bring along all relevant documents.
The result for the third allotment of seats has been announced. Selected candidates will have to pay the fees in online mode. The Counselling of CUSAT CAT 2018 is done as per the merit list of CUSAT CAT 2018, with candidates ranked higher in the list getting preference over those ranked lower. The seat allotment of CUSAT CAT 2018 is conducted online, based on the options entered by the candidate and his/her merit rank. Post seat allotment, candidates need to report at the allotted institute within the prescribed time and date.
The result of CUSAT CAT 2018 was declared on June 5, 2018. To check their results, candidates had to log in to the result portal using their CUSAT CAT 2018 Roll Number. Candidates must download and take the printout of the CUSAT CAT result 2018, as it will be required to complete other admission formalities. The rank list of CUSAT CAT 2018 was also released along with the result of the entrance exam. Post declaration of result, qualified candidates have to participate in option entry and mock counselling. Candidates will be shortlisted and called for counselling based on their CUSAT CAT 2018 scores.
The admit card of CUSAT CAT 2018 was available in online mode from April 17 to 28. The CUSAT CAT 2018 admit card was an important document that candidates had to carry to the exam hall to be able to take the entrance examination. To download the CUSAT CAT admit card 2018, candidates had to log in using their user name and password. The admit card of CUSAT CAT 2018 displayed information like the name of the candidate, roll number, exam data and venue, and also photograph and signature. Along with the admit card, the candidate had to bring along a valid IP proof (Voter ID card, driving license, etc.) to the exam hall.
Before applying for the entrance exam, candidates must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria of CUSAT CAT 2018. Among the key eligibility criteria include a pass in 12th examination in 10+2 system from a recognized board or its equivalent, with minimum 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Additionally, each B.Tech programme has its own set of specific eligibility criteria; for example, to apply for B.Tech in Instrumentation, candidates need to have obtained at least 50% marks in Mathematics in Class 10th. On the other hand, for those opting for Marine Engineering, the upper age limit is likely to be 25 as on September 1, 2018.
The online application form of CUSAT CAT 2018 without late fee was available from February 7 to 28 in online mode only. Candidates could also fill the application form with late fee from March 1 to March 8. To fill the CUSAT CAT 2018 application form, candidates need to go through three steps:
Step 1: Registration
To get registered, candidates had to enter personal details, including name, email address and date of birth. The email ID used for registration was the user name. Upon successful registration, OTP was sent to the candidate email ID and registered mobile number.
Step 2: Filling of CUSAT CAT Application Form 2018
Candidates need to log in using the user name and password to fill the application form of CUSAT CAT 2018. The CUSAT CAT application form 2018 had number of fields like address, nationality and parents’ name. Candidate must ensure that they enter only genuine information. The candidate were also required to upload scanned copies of photograph and signature and furnish course details.
Step 3: Payment of Application Fees
To complete the application process, the candidate had to pay the requisite CUSAT CAT 2018 application fee.

How to Prepare for CUSAT CAT 2018
