Admissions into IISER can be through IISER SCB Aptitude test, KVPY and JEE Advanced score. The applications for all these will start tentaively from 4th week of May. The aptitude test usually happens in the 4th week of June. And the results are declared tentatively in the 1st week of JulY. However, its always advisable to keep an eye on the official website from the 1st week of April.

Actually, you should have secure at least 75% marks in the 12th class board exam, or be in top 20 percentile in the 12th class exam conducted by the respective Boards. Then only you can eligible to get NIT colleges and to appear in the jee advanced exam. And for other colleges below or equivalent to these percentages.

Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) will conduct IISER 2019 admission for 5-year BS-MS degree programmes at its seven participating institutes. IISER admission 2019 will be conducted through three channels- KVPY, SCB and JEE.
Candidates opting for admission through KVPY and JEE are eligible for direct admission and an aptitude test will be conducted for students who opt for SCB channel.

Yes IISER follow the following reservation Policy
As per Government of India rules. SC — 15%, ST — 7.5%, OBCNC — 27%, PD — 5% (supernumerary) and KM – 3 seats per IISER (supernumerary).
Where supernumerary seats are extra seats created for a reserved category without affecting the original seats, and KM means Kashmiri Migrants.
