SAAT Eligibility Criteria 2017 - Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) University announces the eligibility criteria for Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University Admission Test (SAAT) 2017. SAAT 2017 eligibility criteria are the eligibility conditions which need to be met or fulfilled by the candidates who wish to apply for SAAT 2017. SAAT eligibility criteria include eligibility requirements related to age, qualifying examination, marks scored in the qualifying test, etc. Eligible candidates, who look forward to B.Tech admissions at SOA University can start applying now, as the application forms are now available from January 17. All desirous candidates must fill and submit SAAT application form 2017 till April 12. However, the candidates are advised to carefully go through and cross-check if they meet the eligibility criteria of SAAT 2017. SAAT 2017 will be conducted from April 22 to 25 in 62 test centres across 40 cities of India. Out of the 5 campuses of the university, only campus 1, 2 and 4 offer B.Tech courses. SAAT 2017 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates aspiring to apply for SAAT 2017 must have passed class XII/12th or equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and one of these subjects: Chemistry/Information Technology/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Informatics/Biology/Statistics or any other subject.
The candidates need to have secured 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam with the above mentioned subject combination.
Candidates appearing in XII/12th in 2017 are also eligible to apply.
SAAT 2017 admission procedure
Admission to B.Tech courses at the university will be done on the basis of merit list of the candidates in SAAT 2017.
For admissions, the candidates have to appear personally in the counselling and seat allotment procedure. Admissions will be determined by the merit list and the number of seat available in B.Tech programmes.
During counselling and seat allotment, they also have to get their documents verified.
Aspiring candidates, who seek admissions through JEE Main 2017 are also required to personally participate in the counselling procedure according to specified dates at the notified venue.
Candidates are also required to pay admission fee during counselling and seat allotment.

Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan is a deemed university, U/S 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 and is located in Bhubaneswar in Odisha. The university conducts this entrance exam every year and this is the 9th year that SAAT has been conducted.

No. SAAT 2023 exam is not necessary for getting admission into Siksha O Anusandhan University. If the candidate has given any other national level entrance exam instead of the SAAT exam, then those scores will be considered for the admissions.
