Every year cutoff changes as the level of the paper changes.
For last year the cutoff for mechanical or civil was around 15000 whereas for cse it was from 2000 to 10000.
For fire and safety the cutoff went to around 18000 and for chemical it was around 7000.
So it all depends on the branch you take and for petroleum branch you need to get a very good rank lets say around 1000-3000.

Hi Waseem,
UPESEAT has no definite cutoff like JEE does. So, when try to check your result, it will show you how many candidates hold the same rank as you do. Then if you are eligible you will be called for counseling where with no. of seats in every branch you will see a rank list that has your UPESEAT rank along with PCM aggregate percentage. Now whoever holds the same rank but a higher percentage will get to choose first regarding his branch.
Hope this helps.
All the best!
Hello Waseem,
UPESEAT 2019 results are expected to be out between 27th or 31st of may. So, you would expect the results between within 8-10 from today onwards. After the announcement of the result within 1 week, you can expect the counseling to be started. For regular updates keep checking the upes site for regular updates.
Best of luck for the results.
Thank you.
Hello Esha,
As per the latest information about UPESEAT the entrance exams are done between 13 May 2019 -19 May 2019. I am not sure but the university might take the entrance examinations once more so that remaining seats can be filled. For this you should contact the university administration as soon as possible and tell them that you have registered but not received any information regarding it. They will surely help you out.

In my opinion please keep Upes at the bottom of the list of colleges unless you have a passion for petroleum engg/chemical engg/Geo science engg since they are some of the courses which offer good faculties and placements too.
this universty has certain drawback like:
-It's one of the most expensive btech college in India and the facilities they are providing can be found in any other average college.
-It is just a money making institute, even after charging so much they aren't spending even a single penny on students
-Placements are just average. On the university's website they are showing 90% placement overall but in reality the placement is approx 70%
So try to avoid Upes as much as possible because the above mentioned branches are good and rest are average or below average. So wasting your hard earned money on this college will be foolishness.
Hope this helps
