All the best!!
In my opinion please keep Upes at the bottom of the list of colleges unless you have a passion for petroleum engg/chemical engg/Geo science engg since they are some of the courses which offer good faculties and placements too.
this universty has certain drawback like:
-It's one of the most expensive btech college in India and the facilities they are providing can be found in any other average college.
-It is just a money making institute, even after charging so much they aren't spending even a single penny on students
-Placements are just average. On the university's website they are showing 90% placement overall but in reality the placement is approx 70%
So try to avoid Upes as much as possible because the above mentioned branches are good and rest are average or below average. So wasting your hard earned money on this college will be foolishness.
Hope this helps
Hello Harshit,
Yes, you can get an admission in colleges accepting UPSEE results as the eligibility criteria for UPSEE is that a candidate should have scored above 50% in 12th for general category and For SC and ST is 45% from a recognized board.
Hipe it helps you
Thank you
Hello Aayush,
First of all, let me make you clear that UPES has no clear cut off which means that you will not get a particular rank as a cut off for a branch like what happens in JEE MAINS.
Minimum board percentage is required for admission. And then there is a counseling round. When you go for counseling you can pick from the seats that are available. So it really depends on the people who are getting counseled before you. The person having a better rank get to chose the branch of his choice. So that is how it is done.
Hope this helps.
The institute will offer admission based on any of the following there :UPESEAT, JEE Main merit or Class 12th through the centralised counselling. Candidates who will successfully qualify the UPESEAT can attend the counseling with the require documents and they will be alloted seat once the verification is completed.
However,80% of the seats will be filled through UPESEAT counseling and 20% of the seats will be filled through JEE Mains rank or class 12 marks. If all the seats under this 20% isn't filled up then the remaining will be filled based on the UPESEAT merit .
Minimum 80% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th) and minimum 80% aggregate in PCM at the senior secondary level (12th class)
And I am sharing with you some information about cut-off which may help you. There is a minimum Qualifying Marks with respect to the Category.
Category Minimum Qualifying Marks
General 25%
OBC 25%
SC 20%
ST 25%
I think the Above Information May help you.
All the Best.

Hi
If you didn't find the option to download the admit card then there might not be the provision to give it instantly. Try it again after 24 hours of your slot booking. You surely will get it.
If you still don't find it, then they themselves would mail the downloading schedule.
