I would like to mention the eligibility criteria for IISER below taken from the official website:

Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent level exam with science stream in 2018 or 2019 are eligible to apply for admissions.

SCB Channel

• Students who have passed 10+2 level with science stream

There is an equal weightage for all the four subjects(physics,chemistry,maths,biology) in IISER aptitude test. The questions will be theory based and answering them will be possible only if we are thorough with NCERT.

Students who have passed 10+2 level with science stream in 2018 or 2019 are eligible to apply 

for admissions and appear for IAT 2019.

However, they will be considered for admissions to the degree programmes only if they

 obtain the cut-off marks specified for their board. 

Students applying through SCB

Hello aspirant,

(1) IISER test will comprise of PCMB.

(2) total of 15 questions will be there is each subject. So total number of questions will be 60

(3) 3 marks will be awarded for every right answer and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong             answer.

Based on previous years cutoffs that is 90% in 2017,and this year may be 88.3% you can be eligible for IISER Aptitude test 2019,So All the best for it.

YOU have to give the aptitude test for IISER even after scoring 450 as it is mentiones in their eligibility of admission criteria which can be found at their official website https://www.iiseradmission.in/eligibility/ . feel free to ask any doubts in the comments section.

IISER has specific process that is through 3 admission channel i.e. KVPY,JEE and SCB.

If you are applying through SCB (State and Central Boards) channel, you will have to appear in the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT). IISERs do not release cutoffs, you just get to know whether you are selected or not. But according to estimates, for general category students, a score of
