More than 2,500 colleges (private and public) offer admission to various branches of M.Tech programmes. Among these, around 2,000 are private, whereas, the rest are public-funded institutions. Around 200 specialisations of M.tech courses are available in India in full-time and part-time modes.

As per the placement data of 2022-2023 published by IIT Bombay for M.Tech programmes, around 583 students registered for campus placement, of which 532 participated in the process. A total number of 479 students got placed on campus with placed percentage rate of 90 per cent.

According to latest cut offs if one is applying for PSG Tech if he/she belongs to General category then there cut offs are 75-80. And if one belongs to SC/ST/OBC and other backward classe their cut offs are 33,25,20 and  35 respectively.

And for Anna University the cut offs will be above 65%.
