UCEED Eligibility Criteria 2018 -Candidates will have to satisfy the eligibility criteria of UCEED 2018 to participate in the admission process into B.Des programmes offered by the participating institutes. The entrance examination of UCEED 2018 will be held on January 20, 2018. To be allotted seats under the participating institutes, the candidates will have to qualify the examination with the required marks.

UCEED Eligibility Criteria 2018
The eligibility criteria of UCEED 2018 are the conditions that the candidates aspiring to study B.Des programme in the participating institutes will have to fulfil. Before filling the online UCEED Application Form 2018, the candidates are requested to read the eligibility criteria carefully.
Candidates belonging to the Open or OBC-NCL category should have been born on or after October 1, 1993.
If the candidates belong to SC, ST or PwD category, then they should have been born on or after October 1, 1988.
All of the candidates will be required to have passed their 10+2 (or equivalent) qualifying examination in 2017.
Those candidates who will be attempting the qualifying examination in 2018 will also be eligible to participate in UCEED 2018.
Candidates from all streams i.e., Science, Commerce and Arts & Humanities will be eligible for admissions.
What are Qualifying Examination?
All of the following qualifications will be termed eligible for admissions into the B.Des programme under UCEED 2018.
Final examination of the 10+2 system conducted by a recognized Central or State Board.
Intermediate or two year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board or University.
Final exam of the two year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.
Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.
Any Public School, Board or University exam in India or in a foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
H.S.C Vocational Examination
Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education of atleast 3 years duration.
General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London, Cambridge or Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) Level.
High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
Candidates who have completed their 12th standard (or equivalent) exam from abroad or from a Board not specified will have to produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities stating that the examination qualified by them is equal to 12th standard exam.
If the 12th standard exam is not a public exam, then the candidate should have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) exam earlier.
Who are not Eligible for UCEED 2018 Admission Process?
Those candidates who appeared for the first time in their qualifying examination in 2016 or earlier will not be considered eligible for admissions.
Number of Attempts
The candidates will be able to attempt UCEED examination for a maximum of two times in consecutive years.
The score of UCEED will be valid only for one year and only for admissions in the corresponding academic year.
UCEED 2018 Reservation Criteria
Certain number of seats under UCEED 2018 are reserved for different categories. The percentage of reserved seats are listed in the table below for reference.

5% (reservation for persons with disbaility (PwD candidates is cycled over in a four year period, category wise aaccording to the rules that are related to admitting institute.
To participate in the counselling session of UCEED 2018, all of the candidates should have qualified the entrance examination. Those candidates who fail to qualified UCEED 2018 examination will be ineligible for allotment of seats.
