Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad will conduct Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) 2017 on May 12 and Osmania University, Hyderabad will conduct Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET) 2017 from May 30 onwards. The schedule for the entrance test for B.Tech and M.Tech admissions across the participating institutes has been announced by T Papi Reddy, Chairman, Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) recently, as per media reports.

According to the media report, apart from the exam dates for both undergraduate and post graduate engineering entrance test, no other dates pertaining to the events of the examination have been announced.
For admission year 2017-18, the entrance exam for B.Tech admissions is being conducted a little early as compared to admission year 2016-17. In 2016, TS EAMCET was conducted on May 15, while in 2017 it will be held on May 12.
For ME/M.Tech./M.Arch admissions across the institutions/colleges in the state of Telangana, TS PGECET 2017 will be conducted by Osmania University, Hyderabad from May 30 onwards. However, GATE qualified candidates need not to appear in the state level engineering entrance test. They will be offered admissions into M.Tech programmes in the state engineering colleges based on GATE scores. Also, GATE qualifiers will be given preference in seat allotment procedure.
