Will MET 2020 be rescheduled due to Coronavirus?
MET examination which was scheduled from April 17 to 26, 2020 in online mode and then rescheduled to be held on July 24-27 and August 4-7, but the exam was postponed by the authorities. They had provided through their website of the postponement of events due to Coronavirus outbreak. Approximately 2 Lakh candidates apply for the entrance exam every year, and even this year, the total number of applicants are expected to remain somewhere same. This year, one question had come up in the mind of almost every applicant...Will MET 2020 be postponed?

The answer came up that MET 2020 to be conducted during August 1 to 12 as proctored exam from home.
Yes, the authorities announced that MET 2020 will be conducted from August 1 to 12 as a home-based proctored test.
The outbreak of COVID-19 or coronavirus and its impact on the lives of people is known to everyone. The constant rise in the total number of affected people resulted in the decision to suspend all the academic activities at all schools, colleges and other public institutes for 21 days. This decision had raised an assumption in the minds of many students regarding the rescheduling of MET 2020.
When there was no update on the postponement of MET, Careers360 had contacted MAHE (Manipal Academy of Higher Education) to know about their take on the situation. The officials had informed through email that till then, they were on a wait & watch mode and awaiting Govt directions. Therefore, we could not stay with an assumption. Instead, all the candidates were advised to continue preparing as per the given schedule. At the same time, yes, there were chances that the authorities reschedule the MET 2020 entrance exam. Considering that MET 2020 admit card and other events are also deferred for the time being.
The authorities had commenced the MET 2020 registration process on October 5, 2019. The last date to submit the MET 2020 application form was July 25.
