VIT University has announced VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) 2018 for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes across its campuses in Vellore, Chennai, Amaravati and Bhopal. The university has released important information about application form, exam pattern, syllabus, eligibility criteria, equating methodology and guidelines for aspiring candidates. However, no dates related to any event of VITEEE 2018 have been declared so far. As per VIT University officials, “Date related to the availability of VITEEE 2018 application form will be released in due course of time.” Thus, candidates are advised to keep tracking the notifications and dates of VITEEE 2018 now onwards.

According to the official notification of the university, application form of VITEEE 2018 will be available in online as well as offline mode, while the engineering entrance test (VITEEE 2018) will be held in online mode for 2.30 hours. The exam pattern of VITEEE 2018 is similar to that of 2017, however, for filling/submitting application form, candidates have to submit scanned copy of Aadhar Card/proof of enrolment ID for Aadhar Card. This means that Aadhaar Card or the enrollment ID of Aadhaar Card is mandatory for filling the application form of VITEEE.
Candidates born on or after July 1, 1996 with 60% aggregate marks (General Category) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate) are eligible to apply for the university level entrance test. For SC/ST and candidates belonging to North Eastern States, the eligibility is 50% aggregate marks in class 12th. However, apart from the DOB and qualifying marks criteria, the candidates should also have studied in regular, full time and formal education. 'NIOS' candidates are also eligible to take VITEEE 2018.
Candidates opting for PCME group will be eligible for admission to all B.Tech. programmes as per the VITEEE ranking, while candidates choosing PCBE group would be considered for admission into B.Tech. in Biotechnology, B.Tech in Biomedical and CSE with spec. in Bioinformatics) as per the VITEEE ranking.
