Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) 2017 is readying a scholarship scheme for meritorious candidates of JEE Main 2017. The scholarship programme, which is being reviewed, will be beneficial only for JEE Main meritorious candidates who secure All India Ranks upto 2000.
As per MHRD officials, “The scholarship scheme for meritorious students with JEE Main All India Rank less than 2000 in engineering stream is under review.”

However, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has not shared any timeline for launching the scholarship. The ministry said that “separate instructions on this will be issued in due course of time.”
JEE Main 2017 is the entrance exam for admissions to NITs, IIITs and GFTIs and is also the first stage exam for admissions to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Approximately 12-13 lakh candidates appear every year in this national level engineering entrance test.
There are a total of 31 National Institutes of Technology (NITs) that offer over 18,000 undergraduate engineering seats to qualified candidates of JEE Main.
