Yash Dev Student Expert 2nd Dec, 2019
Hello student for that you need to contact the administration of both of the colleges firstly you need to ask your college administration that they'll allow you to transfer into another college or not if they allow you then you've to ask Techno India college if there's seats available or not because its totally dependent on seat availability.

Feel free to comment if you have any doubt

Sorry to say, your Percentile score is too low..With this score chance of getting admission in private MBA Colleges is very less..It will be better for you if you appear in other entrance EXAMINATION and score better than previous score in order to get admission in good private MBA Colleges..

HIT haldia or Techno india University (not salt lake) which is better ??

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 8th Sep, 2019

Dear Abhi, I am giving you a jist of both the colleges.

It is a Private Institute and is affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology , Kolkata. It is accredited by NBA and NAAC (Grade 'A').

The institute offers B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and MCA. The Institute accepts admission on the basis of West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) for its UG course. The Campus Area is 50 Acres. There are 11 Boy’s Hostel and 3 Girl’s Hostel. There are a good amount of books and learning resources available in the Library including 132-National Journals and 7-International Journals.

Haldia Institute of Technology consists of various curriculum. There are total of 11-12 branches for which B.Tech courses are offered. BBA & MBA is courses are also offered here.

HIT has Placement and Training Cell which organizes various training sessions at different industries and companies. There are various companies which provide summer internships to HIT’s students.

The number of companies visiting the college is continuously increasing from 2014 to 2017.

The percentage of placed students is usually good (between 65% to 85%). Out of all the engineering courses chemical engineering , computer science engineering , and Food technology students have the highest placements.

HIT Scholarship-

The institute supports students by providing scholarships to them. It also encourages meritorious but financially weak students by giving Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme as per AICTE norms.

The students of this college are of the opinion that,

'the location of the college is also good. The  laboratories are well equipped. Faculties are humble and helpful.College infrastructure is nice with large playground basketball ground. Fee structure is not much expensive when comapared with facilities provided. Total tuition fees to be paid for 4years is just Rs.3,50,000 Hostel fees is Rs.12,000 without food. First semester fee is Rs. 62000 and all other 7 semester fee ranges from Rs. 40000-45000.

Since last 5 years, there has been 100% placement for the students of Food Technology. Training is provided to the students from 2nd year who are eligible. The college arramges seminar and workshops for every student. Scholarships are also arranged by college.

College offers scholarships to the students who scores more than 8.99 CGPA in all the years. If he or she is able to bring the required CGPA then one semester fee is paid by the college i.e. college pays 40000 approx to the student. But no loan facility is offered by the college.'

So overall this is a good college to opt for.

Techno India University (TIU), Kolkata is a Private University in Kolkata. The college is affiliated to WBUT (West Bengal University of Technology), approved by the AICTE, New Delhi, and Accredited by the AICTE and  NBA. It is a Business school in West Bengal. The University aims at facilitating and promoting studies, research, technology, innovation, incubation and extension work in the fields of Engineering, Science & Computer Application, Humanities, Commerce, and Management education to achieve excellence in higher education. TIU admissions in Engineering is through WBJEE, JEE Main and Techno Joint Entrance Exam (TNJEE).

This university has 5 departments and has the hostel facilities for both Girls and Boys. The library facility is also fine with nearly 19953 total books.

Techno India University Placement

Techno India University really stands apart and that is the only reason of half-a-million strong alumnus that includes B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D., which has produced outstanding technology and management leaders over the years, encompassing a wide gamut of outstanding global corporate houses, research facilities and educational institutions. Today university’s 5 Lakhs alumni are happily working all across the globe in leading MNCs and many are pursuing their higher studies in World’s top Universities.

A few students are of the opinion that 'the classes don't run smoothly and very much regularly. The faculty is fine but students have to study by themselves more.

The fees is quite expensive here. Course fee for B.TECH is 6.48 LAKHS.

The whole techno India group has a pool placement, so there are a quite big number of companies coming for it. If you are able to prove yourself capable for the post (in placements) then you have higher chances of getting hired.  There are no internships provided by the college but they help you if you are able to get one. They provide you leave for the period of time of internship.

The laboratories are good. Seniors are helpful. Campus life is also satisfactory. The college has fine infrastructure also. Various events for entertainment are also conducted time to time.

The college provides some percentage scholarship to the students if you have good 10+2 score and have done well in entrance exam. Apart from this the college helps students to get scholarships and aid from the government, especially to those who are needy. '

So, this college also has its plus and minus points. Now it depends upon what parameters you consider important for selection of any college for getting admissions.

All the best! :)

Techno india University or HIT haldia which is better for cs/it??

Kambampati Rohith Student Expert 11th Aug, 2019

Techno India University is better than Haldia Institute of technology, if you are talking about placements. If you are going to go for higher studies. Then I must say, it doesn't reallly matter where you pursue your degree. The students from the two colleges say the facilities required for a good student life are better at Techno India University than HIT.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck!
