MHT CET 2017: DTE adds Aadhaar Card to its list of Important DocumentsDirectorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra, the exam conducting authority for MHT CET 2017, has added Aadhaar Card (Number) to its list of documents required to be produced by the test takers during the counselling procedure conducted through Centralised Admission Process (CAP). For admission year 2017-18, the Aadhaar Number will be considered as identification proof of candidates. 

Apart from Aadhaar Card, the list of important documents released by DTE Maharashtra include Caste Certificate, Caste/Tribe Validity Certificate, Non-Creamy Layer Certificate, Domicile Certificate and Income Certificate.

These documents are required by the examination authority for verification of the candidates during the counselling and admission process. In case a candidate fails to produce the required documents during the counselling procedure, his/her candidature will be cancelled for admission.

 

Qualified candidates of MHT CET 2017 will be required to produce the documents/certificates listed below as per the category and domicile. They need to carry the following documents with them in original as well as their photocopies to the counselling venue for verification. 

 

List of Documents required during MHT CET 2017 counselling

Aadhaar Card (Number)

Caste Certificate

Caste/Tribe Validity Certificate

Non-Creamy Layer Certificate

Domicile Certificate

Income Certificate

 

Aadhaar Card (Number)

In order to get their identity verified, the candidates have to produce their Aadhaar Number during the counselling process of MHT CET 2017. Their Aadhaar Card should be linked to their bank accounts so that they can avail all benefits related to tuition fee waiver, scholarship, etc they are entitled to as per their category. For this, DTE Maharashtra has introduced Aadhaar Payment Bridge system.

 

Caste Certificate

Test takers of MHT CET 2017, who belong to SC/ST/OBC categories must produce their caste certificate in the required format during the counselling.

 

Caste/Tribe Validity Certificate

Candidates belonging to SC/ ST can avail the seats reserved as per their categories by producing Caste/Tribe Validity Certificate authorised by Maharashtra Government. The certificates must be validated as per the given dates by the authorities.

 

Non-Creamy Layer Certificate

In order to claim admission under OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) category, the candidates belonging to Maharashtra state have to produce Non-Creamy Layer Certificate. The validity of the certificate must be up to March 31, 2018.

 

Domicile Certificate

  • Candidates either born in the state or Maharashtra and/or domiciled in Maharashtra need to submit their birth certificate, marksheet of their class X and XII, and school leaving certificate.

  • If a candidate is staying in Maharashtra state for over 15 years, then he/she is required to produce Domicile certificate as residential proof.

  • In case the parents of the candidates are domiciled in Maharashtra, then they have to produce domicile certificate of either of their parents.

Income Certificate

Income Certificate of either of the parent will need to be produced by the candidates whose parent’s annual income is less than 6 lakhs. Such candidates are entitled to avail Tuition Fee Waiver subject to the authentication of their parent’s income certificate.

 

Person with Disabilities/Defence Personnel

Candidates belonging to PwD category/Ward of Defence personnel/Wards of ex-servicemen can avail the reservation benefits by producing the required certificates during the counselling process.

 

MHT CET 2017 will be conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra on May 11. Over 4 lakh candidates register for MHT CET for admission to B.Tech and B.E. programmes across the participating institutes of MHT CET every year.
