Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) will conduct Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology Entrance Examination (KIITEE) 2018 from April 15 to 24, 2018. Though the institute has declared the examination dates, however, no other dates related to any event of KIITEE 2018 are announced yet. The entrance test will be held in online mode for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes at the institute. Aspiring candidates will be able to fill the application form of KITTEE 2018 tentatively from the first week of December 2017. It must be noted that there is no application fee for KIITEE 2018.
As per the official eligibility criteria of KIIT, candidates passed class 12th or equivalent examination in 2016 or 2017 with 60% aggregate marks (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) will be considered eligible for applying to KIITEE 2018. Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology is expected to conduct KIITEE 2018 across various test centres in different 60 cities of Indian states. The entrance test will be held in English language for 3 hours. Candidates will be awarded 4 marks for each correct answer, while for each incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted. The question paper of KIITEE 2018 will carry a weightage of 40 questions each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics sections, making it a total of 120 questions. Candidates aspiring to take must go through the syllabus of KIITEE 2018 to prepare for the entrance test. Admission to B.Tech programmes at the institute will be offered purely on the merit ranks of the candidates in the entrance test wherein candidates have to physically participate in the offline counselling process and get their documents verified.
According to the reservation criteria of the institute, 15% seats out of the total intake are reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), 7.5% for the Scheduled Tribe (ST) and 3% for physically Challenged (PC) candidates.
