The Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Government of Kerala, has announced the rank list of KEAM 2017 for all eligible candidates who appeared in the entrance examination. Candidates who get shortlisted based on the KEAM 2017 merit list have to appear in counselling session for seat allotment. It may be noted that the result of KEAM 2017, which was held on April 24 & 25, was declared on May 18. To check the rank list, the candidate can follow the link given on this page. When preparing the rank list, scores obtained by the candidate in KEAM (Paper I and Paper II) and aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics and any of Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology obtained in Class XII will be considered in the ratio of 50:50. In such cases where two or more candidates score equivalent marks, the tie will be broken based on some set guidelines.
KEAM 2017 Rank List: Key Highlights
The merit list of KEAM 2017 is prepared by giving equal weightage to the score obtained by the candidate in KEAM 2017 and aggregate scores in Class XII (aggregate of Physics, Mathematics, and any of Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology)
Candidates will be shorlisted for counselling of KEAM 2017 based on the merit list.
KEAM 2017 Merit List: Tie Breaking Procedure
In such a scenario where two or more candidates have the same score, the deadlock will be broken based on the folloing rules:
First, the tie will be decided based on marks obtained in Mathematics. The candidate with a higher score will be placed higher
If the scores in Mathematics are identical, the candidate with higher marks in Physics will be ranked higher
In the third stage, the candidate with higher standardized marks in Mathematics in Class XII will be placed higher
If the deadlock continues, the standardized marks of Physics in Class XII will be used to decide the order, with the candidate with higher score placed higher
In the final step, the candidate who is older in age will be ranked higher than the younger candidate.
