The admission committee also required the submission of 12th standard (or equivalent) examination marks from the candidates who belong to the category of CBSE/CISE/Repeaters/Outside Karnataka. Additional/Spot ranks of those candidates who had not earlier submitted their 12th standard scores or had their ranks withheld due to some reason were published online after the required marks were submitted.

Aditi Amrendra Student Expert 7th Dec, 2019
Hello,

Other than NCERTs you can prefer these books for your preparation.

  • Karnataka CET Explorer Engineering by MTG Editorial Board (Author)
  • Pradeeps Fundamental Physics (Class 11 and 12) by K. L. Gomber and K. L. Gogia
  • Moderns Abc of Chemistry, Part 1 and part 2 by S.P. Jauhar

I am studying in 11 class and i have taken only NEET coaching and i dont have interest in it anymore .Now in the second year can i able to clear kcet ,is it possible to study the syllabus within a year.I want to take up veternary or else agriculture .Which has more scope .Iam from category 2A.

Arya 2nd Dec, 2019

Hi Nirupadi,

Basically, the Karnataka Common Entrance Test is much easier than national exams like NEET. Of you are prepared for NEET, you are more than prepared for KCET. However, if you are starting now, one year is enough for preparation if you work hard and productively.  You should clear your basics properly and be thorough with your NCERT syllabus.

Both Veterinarian Studies and Agriculture have great scope in India and you should opt for a career in which you are interested and skilled.

For kcet, the board marks counted will be only the theory marks or do practical marks also count?

Sonali Sahu Student Expert 1st Dec, 2019

Hello,

Whole mark will be considered i.e.300 (Physics,Chemistry, mathematics) . There is no partial consideration like thoery and lab marks.  They will consider total marks and it holds 50% to the total score in KCET and rest 50% is score from the entrance exam.

That score will determine your final rank under general category. if you have any reservation then the board will decide by which factor your rank will get divided.

Hope it help!
