Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad has released an official document on February 25 which notifies that Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) 2016 will be conducted by the University on May 2. Admissions will be offered to qualifying candidates in first year of undergraduate engineering courses in the university and across private unaided and affiliated professional colleges of the state.
Eligible candidates, who are willing to apply for TS EAMCET 2016, can start submitting online application from February 28 onwards. The last date for applying without late fee is March 28.
TS EAMCET 2016 Application Fee: Rs.250 (for SC/ST candidates) and Rs.500 (for others)

Who can apply?
Candidates should be of Indian Nationality or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders.
They should belong to the state of Telangana / Andhra Pradesh. They should satisfy local / non-local status requirements as laid down in the Telangana / Andhra Pradesh Education Institutions (Regulations of Admission) order, 1974.
Aspirants should secure at least 45% of marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the subjects specified taken together at 10+2 pattern.
Candidates should have completed 16 years of age, as on December 31, 2016. There is no upper age limit.
Test Centre will be allotted to applicants in Hyderabad only.
Candidates, who have secured qualifying marks in TS EAMCET 2016 and those belonging to Scheduled Caste and Schedule Tribe category, for whom qualifying marks have not been prescribed, shall be assigned ranking in the order of merit on the basis of combined score obtained by giving 75% weightage to the marks secured in the entrance exam and 25% weightage to the marks secured in the relevant group subjects namely Mathematics or Biology, Physics, Chemistry in class 12th.
