The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) has announced the dates of JKCET 2018 for all the candidates appearing in the exam. The application form of JKCET 2018 will be available in online mode from February 1 to February 28, 2018 tentatively. Candidates will be required to fill and submit JKCET 2018 application form along with the application fee of Rs 800 via credit, debit card or net banking before the end prescribed date. Only those candidates whose application form will be accepted successfully will be allowed to appear in JKCET 2018 on April 22, 2018 in offline mode. It is important for candidates to note that question paper of JKCET will have 60 multiple choice questions each in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics section for which they will be given 3 hours to complete it. In the exam for every correct answer, candidates will be awarded 1 mark each and for every wrong answer 0.25 will be deducted. JKCET 2018 question paper will be of total 180 marks.

Important documents required

As per the authorities, it is important for candidtaes to keep the following documents ready to avoid inconvenience at the time of application submission and admissions:

  • Permanent residence certificate (State Subject)

  • Date of birth certificate

  • Internship certificate (if completed)

  • Reserved category certificate (if applicable)

  • Marks cerificate/ Marks card of qualifying examination. (if qualifying exam is passed)

  • Tuition Fee Waiver Certificates (where annual income of the parents is less than Rs 4.50 lacs)

The entrance exam of JKCET 2018 will be conducted for admission to various B.Tech programmes offered by engineering colleges of Jammu & Kashmir.

The academic qualification for JKCET exam is that the candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized statutory Board/University. English. For JK CET exam candidate must have qualified his/ her class 12th with at least 50%  in physics, chemistry and mathematics as elective subjects, there is not any upper age criteria but a candidate must be at least 17 year old, candidate must be permanent residence of Jammu and Kashmir as you are a medical student so you are not eligible for this exam.

Hello Aspirant,

There is no other state quota in JKCET.
A person who is a permanent resident of Jammu and Kashmir state are eligible to apply for JKCET 2020 apart from that one must have passed HSC or 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board or university is eligible.
If you are from a different state than J&k then you cannot apply for this exam.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates those fulfills the requirements of eligibility as prescribed by the BOPEE will be considered for admission.


Candidates must be Indian Citizen.

State Eligibility: Candidate should be the permanent resident of J&K.

Age Criteria:-

Minimum Age Criteria: The minimum age limit should be 17 years as on 31st December 2019.

Maximum Age Criteria: There will be no age bar limit to apply.

Qualification Criteria:-

Qualifying Exam: Candidates should pass 10+2/12th or its equivalent exam from any recognized board/university.

Minimum Marks: Candidates should have obtained the minimum of 50% marks (40% in case of reserved category) in the qualifying exam.

Subjects: Candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as their primary subjects.

Appearing Candidates: Such candidates can also apply for JKCET.
