JEE Main 2017 Result for Paper I will be declared on April 27, 2017 by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Along with the secured scores, the All India Rank of the candidates will also be declared with the result of JEE Main 2017 Paper I. The JEE Main All India Ranks, which will be available along with the result, will be based on the actual JEE Main 2017 scores of the candidates. As per the secured ranks, the candidates will be called in for the JEE Main counselling and admission process.

Steps to Check JEE Main 2017 Result – All India Ranks


The candidates can follow the steps listed below to access the All India Ranks of JEE Main 2017.

  • The link to access the result of JEE Main 2017 Paper I will be available here as soon as it is released.

  • JEE Main 2017 roll number and date of birth has to be submitted.

  • The scores secured in JEE Main 2017 and the All India Ranks will be available online.

  • The candidates can download the JEE Main score card 2017 by using the download link (which will be updated as soon as it is released).

Various personal and academic details of the candidate i.e., his/her name, roll number, date of birth, All India Rank, status to appear for JEE Advanced 2017 and more will be present in the JEE main 2017 result for Paper I. While the ranks are being calculated, there may be some cases where two or more candidates have secured the same scores. The following tie breaker rules as per the given order will be followed by the admission committee:

  • Those candidates who secure higher marks in Mathematics in JEE Main 2017 will be ranked higher.

  • The candidates with higher marks in Physics will be allotted into a higher rank.

  • The ratio of positive marks and negative marks obtained by the candidate will be used. Higher ranking will be given to the candidate with a higher absolute value of the ratio.

  • If the tie is still not resolved by the above given points, then the applicants will be allotted the same JEE Main 2017 rank.

What follows after JEE Main 2017 Result?


Those candidates who manage to meet the cutoff criteria will be called in rank wise for admissions into NITs and IIITs through JoSAA Counselling. All of the seats will be allotted as per the ranking and preference of the candidates. The top 2,20,000 JEE Main 2017 qualifiers will also be eligible for JEE Advanced 2017 through which admissions into IITs will be available.

JEE Main 2020 Dress Code for Male Candidates

  • Candidates must not wear any cloth consisting of metallic items. Metallic items causes problems during frisking and must be avoided
  • Candidates are not allowed to wear cap/ muffler or any cloth over their head
  • Students must wear light-weight comfortable clothes to avoid discomfort during writing the exam.
  • Wearing any kind of jewellery or ornaments is strictly prohibited
  • Candidates must not wear goggles, rings, bracelets or any of such items

JEE Main 2020 Dress Code for Female Candidates

  • Candidates must not wear any kind of stole/ dupatta or scarf
  • Students must not wear any kind of jewellery or ornaments
  • Candidates must not wear any kind of metallic items or any cloth/items containing metal
  • Candidates must wear light and comfortable clothes keeping in mind the season and weather on the day of exam
