CBSE has released frequently asked questions (FAQs) for applicants of JEE Main 2017 on December 22, 2016. The list of FAQs specifically includes questions related to Aadhaar Card and Aadhaar Number. If you have any doubt/query pertaining to applying for JEE Main 2017 through Aadhaar, then you can clear all your doubts now. Apart from the FAQs related to Aadhaar, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has also released various questions related to corrections in online application form and other aspects of JEE Main 2017.

Earlier, for admission year 2017-18, CBSE had made Aadhaar Card mandatory for filling the application form of JEE Main 2017, except for candidates belonging to the states of Jammu & Kashmir, Meghalaya and Assam. Candidates belonging to these 3 states can fill their application form of JEE Main 2017 by passport number, ration card number, bank account number or any other valid government identity number, provided they should select the city of examination in these states only.
For assisting candidates and making the application process hassle-free for JEE Main 2017 aspirants, CBSE has setup Aadhaar facilitation centres and alternate identification scheme for J&K, Assam and Meghalaya.
JEE Main 2017 will be conducted on April 2, 2017 in offline mode and April 8-9, 2017 in online mode. JEE Main 2017 application form is now available from December 1, 2016 onwards, while the last date to apply for JEE Main 2017 is January 2, 2017. Aspiring candidates can, however, pay the application fee of JEE Main 2017 till January 3, 2017.
