Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a revised list of JEE Main 2017 exam centres on December 16. As per the new list released by CBSE, JEE Main 2017 will now also be held in Kota (Rajasthan) and Dhaka in Bangladesh. With the 2 new exam centre cities added in the list, JEE Main 2017 will now be conducted in test centres across 113 cities. Earlier, CBSE officials had announced that JEE Main 2017 will be conducted across test centres in 111 cities of India and abroad. With Dhaka added as another test centre city, the entrance exam will now have 9 exam cities outside India, whereas earlier it was supposed to be conducted across 8 test centre cities outside India.
The revised exam centre cities outside India include Colombo, Kathmandu, Singapore, Bahrain, Dubai, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah and Dhaka.
JEE Main 2017 will be conducted on April 2, 2017 in offline mode and on April 8-April 9, 2017 in online mode. JEE Main 2017 application form is now available from December 1, 2016 onwards, while the last date to apply for JEE Main 2017 is January 2. Aspiring candidates can, however, pay the application fee of JEE Main 2017 till January 3, 2017.
CBSE has introduced a new eligibility criteria, where the candidates are required to fill Aadhaar Card number in JEE Main 2017 application form. The JEE Main 2017 Paper 2 which is conducted for B. Arch and B. Planning will be held in offline mode only on April 2, 2017. The result of JEE Main 2017 will be announced on April 27, 2017.
